On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

[Toki steps beside Lili to grab something from the food table and shove it in his mouth. He doesn't know what it is, but it tastes good. He picks up another whatever-it-is and holds it out to Lili.]

You have to eat something! You can't go thinking everything is poisoned! No one's dropped dead yet and I'm sure they've all eaten!

it appears to be (turns wheel) one of ookurikara's dishes. she blinks when he holds it out to her and leans back a little]

Don't just shove food in people's faces - I don't know what some of this is...

[Okay. Well, he'll just eat that one too. He gestures to her dress with a smile.]

You look amazing tonight~! The intricate lace and soft flowers betraying a deeply hidden sensitive heart and caring nature, that tragically, you feel you must keep locked away underneath a hardened shell~!

Why do you still play the fool?

[maybe he is a fool for real??? but she's just going to sigh]

Nothing about me is tragic, you know? I'm entirely aware of who I am and why.

[yokeye]

Are you? Maybe you should enlighten me, before I make more assumptions like the idea you're so defensive is because you're afraid to show your true face to the world and that you are nothing but striking in your armored vulnerability~!

[coastal]

[a wave of her hand]

No, not at all. This is my true face.

[okay that's not true, she recently stopped giving a fuck at all but

[He smiles, because he likes that face.]

... you know, I might dislike you less if you could actually have a real conversation with me.

I don't care about men, or people paying attention to me. None of that has ever mattered.

[yokeye]

Okay. What do you want to talk about then?

[He looks over the food again. A lot of delicious-looking things. After a moment's consideration, he chooses a rabbit kabob.]

[coastal]

[whY DID HE CHOOSE THAT INSTEAD OF A DELICIOUS LOOKING THING]

... I don't know....

[don't ask lili to make small talk she doesn't know how i'm crying]

[yokeye]

[It's meat on a stick. It's one of the delicious things.]

Do you want to dance then?

[coastal]

[a surprised look - ]

You want to dance with me?

[even though she's just insulted him a lot?]

[yokeye]

Of course~! We're friends, right?

[He has attached himself to her already. She will not get rid of him by insults; or ones directed at him anyway.]

[coastal]

[what - ]

When did you decide that?!

[yokeye]

When we met!

[Everyone is a friend until they're not.]

[coastal]

What did I say about being too trusting....

[yokeye]

[Toki looks off to the side for a minute, trying to remember.]

... Don't eat the apples?

[coastal]

You just assumed that they wouldn't harm you.

You shouldn't do that with people either. It can come back to bite you.

[yokeye]

If it does, then it does. You'll never make friends if you already distrust everybody!

[As a point, he takes an apple from the table.]

[coastal]

[the apples are symbolic]

Are you really that lonely and desperate?

[yokeye]

[A small twinge of panic rises in his chest at her comment. He's terrified of being alone. He is desperate, for people to like him. And he tries way too hard.]

Not at all~!

[He takes a bite of his apple and waves at Lili, getting away from her as fast as he can without it being obvious. So he can go and cry somewhere.]

[coastal]

[wh

there's a moment of alarm at that and if there's an opportunity, she'll follow after him - ]

Hey, wait...!

[SHE DIDN'T MEAN TO HURT HIS FEELINGS THAT TIME?]

[yokeye]

[If she's not too slow, she may catch him crawling under one of the long tables to hide until everyone leaves.]

[coastal]

she's just going to follow him and crawl underneath it too]

A-Are you alright...?

[CLEARLY NOT, LILI]

[yokeye]

[He looks up as she appears under the table, unshed tears filling his eyes.]

I-I'm fine!

[He clutches the apple tightly. He is clearly fine.]
