On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.
The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.
When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.
Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.
In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.
Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?
Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

Welcome to your tutorial week mingle log! Please see all the links within the log to check out the new updates. In addition, your status page has been updated. In case you missed it, please report all item theft to this top-level where all comments are screened. Private conversations are also open and should be reported under the Week 0 top-level.
A mini-event will also be posted on Wednesday, June 5th, so please keep an eye out for that!

[... Tilting her head to the side]
You've never heard of any of them? Like a foxtrot, or ballet?
no subject
[ she hasn't seen them, mostly, or had any idea of what they were actually like. ]
no subject
But! All the more reason to smile at the other girl with an understanding nod]
In that case, if you want me to show you some others...
There's the tango, though it's a very... intensive dance.
Would you like to try that one with me?
no subject
[ she figures that her skill level is far below nana's, so hopefully it won't be too dreadful for her. ]
But I'll do my best.
no subject
... Though occasionally giggling if Namine steps on her foot.]
Doing okay there?
no subject
[ she looks determined, at least, to get this right.
it does help that nana seems to be easygoing about it. ]
no subject
You should have seen me the first time I tried to dance. I was terrible. No one wanted to be my partner.
[This, too, she says with a friendly chirp. NO SHAME HERE.]
no subject
[ naminé knows that you have to practice to get better but
it's still odd to imagine. ]

[Let Nana spin Namine a tale of woe here]
I stepped on everyone's foot, tripped my teacher, and made a boy cry once, I was so bad.
no subject
well that does make her feel better. ]
Why was he crying?
no subject
[Nana plz]
He was fine, but I think I traumatized him by being so bad.
So don't worry! Everyone can improve. I'm the living proof of it, haha.
no subject
she laughs lightly at the story though. ]
I'll keep that in mind. At least you won't make me cry.
no subject
[And with that, the music comes to a pause, allowing Nana to slow their pace until they come to a stop.]
There! Did you enjoy it?
no subject
[ she probably won't have any idea on how to do that without nana but it's fine. ]
no subject
My name is Daiba Nana, by the way. It was a pleasure dancing with you.
no subject
[ she doesn't know how japanese names work it's fine ]
no subject
Y'know what Nana is not going to correct her at all, that is adorable]
Let me know if you ever want to learn a dance or cook something! I'll show you everything I know.
no subject
[ it mentioned cooking in her profile ]

no subject
[ ... ]
I don't know how.
no subject
What's your favorite type of pastry?
no subject
... cupcake?
no subject
[SORRY NAMINE, she's gonna pick your brain]
no subject
she's being put on the spot here. she's trying to think of flavors. ]
Choco...late...?

When you're free sometime, how about I teach you how to make them?
