On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

They don't seem to know a lot of what's going on either. They know more than we go, but...

But it's not enough. The library's pretty empty, too. [But. Shrug!] Someone has to rescue us sooner or later.

We might have to rescue ourselves. We don't even know what world we're on.

[A lift of an eyebrow.] Have you been to a lot of other worlds, Naminé?

... I wouldn't say a lot.

... not compared to all of them.

[ castle oblivion was terrible, but she's also pretty biased with that one ]

That's actually pretty good to know. [If this world is middle of the road, maybe things will actually work out here.] Any guesses how we got from our worlds to this one?

... it would probably be easier if we had our normal powers back.

But if they brought us here, there should be a way back. We'll just need to find out the way. As long as people are open to more unconventional ways instead of just looking for planes...

And by unconventional you mean the powers...right? [It always comes back to that, sigh.] It's going to take a lot of convincing for some people, I think. Is that our job, too?

I'm not sure if it's our job, but... we're all going to have to talk to each other a lot anyway.

There's thirty-two of us right now. So if we split that up, that's not even that many people. [...] Especially if a few of us come from worlds where other people are from, too.

You, Daiba-chan and Axel all seem to know people. And I think maybe that guy who tried to fight Sol and the guy who separated them are from the same place. [Tsuru and Ookurikara but what's a name.]

Oh, I know Axel. We also know Xion and... Saix...

[Nodding, nodding...but yeah, that tone is obvious.]

Axel seems okay. And I think I met Xion a few days ago. But what's wrong with Saix?

Axel says he's gotten... better, though. So I'll just take his word for it.

Oh. [Later, he'll realize it's because Saix is a creep given how he behaves at the party.]

...do you not know yourself? [Nobody's brought up timeline shenanigans to him yet.]

Our situation is a little odd. We're all from the same place, but we weren't brought from the same time, basically. Axel is from the future, from my perspective, so he's going through things I don't know about.

So from my end, Saix is still... not that nice, but Axel says that he ended up helping our cause.

Sounds like a very complicated story. [Idly. There's a lot to process with that.] I don't think anyone would blame you for not liking him that much then.

If he currently isn't a danger, then I can deal with him.
