week zero: mingle

Week Zero
32 in Competition

On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

[... Is he? Either way, since he said it, Val believes it.]

There are a lot of you here.
leaberator: (this is the dollar store)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-06 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
[ it's new but he is!!! okay!!! ]

Maybe we're just a popular species.
omegathree: (11)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-06 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, that seems likely. I was talking to a few people and despite the fact we're from different worlds, there are humans on all three of them.
leaberator: (my god they were roommates)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-06 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, humans are on a whole lotta worlds. I dunno why they're more prevalent than anythin' else.

[ why so mysterious ]
omegathree: (34)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-06 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Most writers.... are humans.]

Perhaps there's something easier to mass produce about you.
leaberator: (my god they were roommates)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-06 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure I like "mass produce" bein' used in that context?
omegathree: (39)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-06 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
How would you say it?
leaberator: (i sentence him to 10 years in prison)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-06 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't say it at all.

[ let us not talk about human reproduction? ]
omegathree: (05)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-06 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
[You know what that's very valid, let's leave this forever.]

What would you rather talk about.
leaberator: (my god they were roommates)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-06 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
At this point, anythin' before I gotta delve into that subject.

[ he is NOT explaining how babby are formed ]

You tried Minato's monstrosity yet? I think he made the blood pudding with you in mind.

[ god, he hopes minato made it with val in mind. ]
omegathree: (11)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-06 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
[He KNOWS how babby are formed.]

It isn't as bad as you think. Though I do still prefer raw sardines over the tofu.

[god help me.]
leaberator: (what's better than this?)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-06 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe for a vampire.

[ or a Minato... ]

Yeah, figures. Tofu's never been alive, and that's kind of a thing in your diet.
omegathree: (11)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-06 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
It's the same reason vegetables do nothing for me.

[And yet he'll still eat anything sugary.]
leaberator: (can't tie my shoes but i can fuck you)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-06 05:33 pm (UTC)(link)
They do nothin' for me either, but I think that's just my bad diet.

[ mood ]
omegathree: (05)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-06 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
What do you eat? Just ice-cream?
leaberator: (more than you hate yourself)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-06 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[ ... ]

...............No.
omegathree: (06)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-06 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
[...]

There's plenty of food here. The pastries are good.

[And not poisoned, probably?]
leaberator: ("daddy"? do i LOOK like--)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-06 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
--I eat other stuff, you don't gotta mother hen me.

[ please?? you're a vampire?? ]
omegathree: (05)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-06 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I am not a mother hen. Make sure you're properly taking care of yourself.

[Yeah and Lea is a baby.]
leaberator: (wow... the land of make believe)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-07 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
You can't say those two sentences juxtaposed one after another, man...

[ lea is a HUGE baby but that's just not believable ]
omegathree: (34)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-07 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
I can say any two sentences back to back.

[Anyway?? Lea, you have children here?]

Are you taking care of yourself or not?
leaberator: (my god they were roommates)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-07 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
[ no one ever said he was a good parent ]

I can take care of myself fine! I've done it this long, haven't I?

[ he died twice. ]
omegathree: (05)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-07 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
26 years of age isn't very long. [Valvatorez you're a demon, so many ages are short in comparison.] Don't humans usually have parents to help the first decade or two of life as well?
leaberator: (the fuck? the fuck is in the air)

[personal profile] leaberator 2019-06-07 02:35 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe not for people who live thousands of years.

[ also what the FUCK is a parent ]

Usually, yeah, I guess.
omegathree: (05)

[personal profile] omegathree 2019-06-07 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
It's young for a human as well. The average age is about 85.

Did you not have a caretaker?

[do parents exist in kh?]
