On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.
The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.
When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.
Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.
In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.
Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?
Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

Welcome to your tutorial week mingle log! Please see all the links within the log to check out the new updates. In addition, your status page has been updated. In case you missed it, please report all item theft to this top-level where all comments are screened. Private conversations are also open and should be reported under the Week 0 top-level.
A mini-event will also be posted on Wednesday, June 5th, so please keep an eye out for that!

[ he does not. ]
no subject
[bluntly]
You didn't answer my question.
no subject
[ that's
still not an answer ]
no subject
I thought you didn't care...
Why do you keep redirecting the conversation to me?
no subject
[ he keeps his eyes on the dance floor, idly watching everyone else have fun. or whatever it is they're doing. ]
You're not dancing, either. Don't act like it's so strange.
no subject
This one's a partner dance.
[that's why she's not dancing, but she still doesn't get why he's interested at all]
no subject
Then why are you yelling at me to go out there?
[ he sounds exasperated. does he look like he has a partner? ]
no subject
[?]
I'm sure you could find a partner if you wanted.
[she's not going to volunteer herself it's fine]
no subject
No?
[ why would she think that ]
no subject
[????]
no subject
[ besides eat... and he's already checked out the food, so. what else is there. ]
no subject
Want to try to find a way to leave?
[caN THEY JUST LEAVE THE PARTY]
no subject
his gaze sweeps over the party, considering this. tsuru won't be happy if he leaves.
but he does push himself away from the wall. ]
Sure.
[ where the fuck are they gonna go ]
no subject
lili is just going to pick a direction away from the dancefloor because she wants to see if they can actually get away from this place]
Maybe this way...
[it's a village? it should be simple to go other places?]
no subject
sure enough, though, he is. hands in his pockets (he misses his sword), ookurikara trails behind her like a lost puppy, trying to keep one eye on their surroundings so they don't get lost or anything.
but it's a village surely that won't happen ]
no subject
thanks to chat.
they're probably tipsy and that's fine. lili is leading pretty confidently for the fact that she doesn't know anything about anyone, and at least the sound of music is getting further away. it's still playing faintly but...
she will turn back to him]
... do you know which way we're going?
[please
a map]
no subject
but he takes another look around like he's actually familiar with this damn village at all. maybe... ]
Toward the fields.
[ he thinks? ]
no subject
[her expression lightens up because that's much better than the stupid party
and she'll move to keep walking
and tHEN PAUSE SUDDENLY
and look back at him]
That's acceptable, isn't it?
no subject
I don't care.
[ it's not the party at least ]
no subject
that's where they're going then!!
out to the fields and the farmland]
