On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

It sounds really lame when you say it like that, Axel. [About not going out much. But...]

Do you even know how to teach someone to dance? [#doubt? Also I have no idea if this is before or after his thread with Nana but it's fine.]

Ehh. Maybe, maybe not. Can't say I've ever tried to before.

It'd be hypocritical if we made this party and then didn't try to participate, wouldn't it. [This is said as if it's a new discovery.] I guess we can try it...

Now you're getting it. C'mon, let's go embarrass ourselves in public. [ he seems? very pleased with himself? and holds out a hand and everything. also hell YEAH I am 2 for 2 on npc dances suck it ]

[cyclists]

[I hate you. But okay. Sol looks at Axel's hand for a few seconds before taking it and letting themselves be led. If Axel's happy, they can't exactly discount this. Making everyone happy today was the goal.]

At least I have a hood. [So they can't be too embarrassed, they mean. It's a joke. But they're also craning their neck to look up at him.] You sure this is gonna work? You're way taller than me.

[leaberator]

Yeah, it really helped out your awkward an' lurking look earlier. [ he gets what sol means but also: he's an asshole? case in point: ] It's too late to get you stilts, so we'll just have to work around it.

[cyclists]

Shut up. [But there's...a laugh? Sure.] I think I can manage if you stop stalling.

[Don't be a brat, Sol. But to save both of us, Axel can teach and Sol seems to pick up everything easily enough. Wow.] So the party was a good idea, right?

[leaberator]

[ i can't believe axel is going to fucking twirl sol at some point, mark my words,

but not immediately because the question seems to make him? think? ]

Well... It wasn't a bad one? [ he says. dancing and enjoying himself?? ]

[cyclists]

[I hate you. Anyway. There's a sigh even as they're dancing because they Tried.]

It seemed like the kind of thing you do to help people relax. Lune and I had some other ideas, but we can only change little things here.

[leaberator]

You guys had good intentions. [ he does seem to believe that, at least. ] I think... it's just hard for some people to relax in a situation like this, you get what I'm saying?

[cyclists]

Of course I do. [And they sound incredibly regretful for once.] It's scary coming here without knowing what it is that's really going to happen or how to use your powers or even when you might get to go home. I wish there was something else I could do to make things better. That's all.

[leaberator]

[ ... ]

Well, like I said, this one wasn't a bad idea. So long as you're trying your best to cheer people up, that's what matters.

[ it is not but he is, weak, ]

[cyclists]

[Thanks Axel. There's a nod then]

Thanks. [Dancing...a little less awkwardly but definitely as though they're mimicking something else they've seen or thought of.] Are you settling in to the rest of the town okay?

[They're nosy...]

[leaberator]

[ he clearly doesn't expect that kind of line of questioning, and he blinks for a few seconds before shrugging ]

Sure. I've definitely been worse places.

[ ha ha...... ha... ]

[cyclists]

I see...then that's good to hear. [A pause. ] Sorry. I'm not really good at this.

[Small talk.]

[leaberator]

The dancing? [ obtuse on? purpose? yes. ] Yeah, I noticed. It's fine, I won't tell if you don't.

[ he punctuates THAT with a twirl for a laugh ]

[cyclists]

Hey! [It's a surprise but it gets a laugh out of them, too. And so they twirl!] Guess it's our secret then?
