On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

[ anyone who's seen xion in the past couple of days might have gotten used to seeing her in her creepy coat, but thankfully, she's upgraded for tonight! she isn't used to wearing... well, anything that isn't the coat, but cute dresses like this are even more of a mystery, so she's pretty fidgety about it.

speaking of mysteries... she's also carrying around a stick. looks like she finally figured out what house is hers?

anyway.

with all that, and a new flower tucked behind her ear, she can be found doing the following throughout the night: ]

a)

[ catch xion staring in awe at everything available at the food tables. she had no idea so many kinds of food existed...! while she occasionally picks at the wide selection herself, she's much more likely to approach someone already either eating or preparing something, and ask, ]

What is that? ... Can I try it?

[ aka: if any of the cooks need a taste tester, she is ready and willing to eat whatever!! ]

b)

[ though she has a vague idea of what parties are and what they're like, she can't say she's ever been to one... "appears fifteen but actually a baby" and all. so, she's sitting on the sidelines with her hands folded in her lap and her dumb stick clasped between them, watching other people enjoy themselves, especially when they get up to dance. eventually, without even consciously realizing it, she starts gently bobbing her head along to the music, her foot tapping in time to the beat.

it looks like she can be convinced to stop being a wallflower? just be careful when she starts swinging the stick around like a conductor's baton. she's baby ]

c) for fujino

[ finally, at some point closer to the tail end of the night, xion seeks out a specific person. they'd talked briefly during that first day here, and their encounter had been mostly pleasant, but something deeper than that draws xion toward the mysterious fujino almost magnetically. ]

Um... hi. I know this is kind of out of nowhere, but... would you like to dance with me?

[ S'up.

He'll look over at her and then at the meat skewer he's holding. Offering it over to her with a nod. Go ahead.

It's rabbit. ]

[blackcoats]

[ she tilts her head curiously as she accepts the skewer and takes a small test bite. ]

Huh... it's a little hard to chew.

[ she doesn't seem displeased by the taste, though! ]

[papawolf]

[ Hmm. Maybe if he sears them first?

Just going to ponder that while chewing on his own piece. Pointing to the other food there. What's good so far? ]

[whitewalls]

Well... just make sure you don't eat that.

[ she points at the blood pudding.

there's a look on her face that can't be described. ]

[blackcoats]

[ wh ]

A-are you okay?

[whitewalls]

Just don't eat it.

[ just take her word for it, xion ]

[blackcoats]

I won't.

[whitewalls]

Let's pick something else.

[ she says, as if she didn't just give that ominous warning two seconds ago ]

[blackcoats]

[ as she scans the tables: ]

It's been nice being able to try foods that aren't ice cream.

[whitewalls]

You guys did eat a lot of it...

[ that's really an understatement

she'll point to the jello shot. ]

What's that?

[blackcoats]

[ she's going to ignore that in favor of picking the shot up and like. shaking the cup. ]

It's wobbly...

[whitewalls]

It is...

[ she'll grab spoons and hand one to xion. ]

Want to try?

[blackcoats]

[ she nods, reaching over to grab another jello shot so that they eat have their own ]

On three?

[whitewalls]

Mmhm. One, two... three!

[ TIME FOR REGRETS ]

[blackcoats]

[ she eats her spoonful!

and immediately makes this face ]

[whitewalls]

[ huh


she'll take a second scoop. ]

It's... an odd taste?

[blackcoats]

[ she hesitates a little, but seeing naminé eat another encourages her to follow suit... ]

Is it supposed to... burn?

[whitewalls]

I've seen other people eating it, so I assume so...?

[ hm ]

It's sweet though.

[blackcoats]

[ she's just going to keep going because axel didn't raise a binch,

even if she very clearly looks like she would rather Not ]

[whitewalls]

[ she ate minato's pudding without complaining

this is nothing

so she also continues eating it ]

[It's almost unnerving how blank Fujino's stare is sometimes and it's no different when she blinks at Xion when presented with the request.]

I wouldn't mind, but... Hm. That does seem a little out of nowhere Xion-san.
