On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

There's a freezer in the kitchen. If we put them in a box and write our names on it, we can keep them safe. [And just bring them out whenever.]

Hm...[Proud of them. But Sol's busy turning their head and pointing at these cute things.]

Someone went through a lot to make these, so maybe we should try them. [This is not a dessert.]

[whitewalls]

Oh! They're... penguins?

[ she goes to grab one of them. ]

Want to try it at the same tiem?

[cyclists]

Yeah. [And with a penguin in-hand, it disappears into the hood.] Ready? One, two three.

[Glad this is what they're doing. Trying rice penguins.]

[whitewalls]

[ this is such a pure thread in comparison to whatever the fuck hisoka and lili are doing. anyway.

at the count of three, she'll take a bite of the penguin. ]

[Me, turning a blind eye: ah yes look at these two cutes instead of whatever is happening elsewhere. But Sol's chewing instead.]

It's simple, but they look kinda cute. [Kinda is an understatement.] Maybe we have more cooks here than I thought.

There're cookbooks in the library. How hard can it be? [Probably very, tbh.]

If I manage, would you eat something I make?

[ she'll try not to poison him. ]

[cyclists]

[No, kill him. It's time for NPC death already.]

Of course! [This is a no-brainer for him.] It'll be a good test to see how you do.

[Gentle teasing. But also please feed him.]

[Oh. There's a brief hesitation because that surprises them, but their hand slips out of their sleeve to wrap a pinky around hers.]

[ she lets their fingers stay hooked together like that for a short moment, before she pulls it away with a smile. ]

I can't wait.

[cyclists]

It'll be fun. [And isn't that what counts? But Sol has taken up a lot of her time, and it's then that they pause.]

...should I let you get back to the others? [They will 100% stick around if she indicates she doesn't mind, but they don't want to hold her back either.]

[whitewalls]

Do you want to do something else?

[ she'll probably just go sit down and people watch but

now that she thinks about it, other people probably want to talk to them. ]

[cyclists]

[Sol, internally: are we allowed to leave?
Sol, externally:]

Not really. The food's good and I don't dance, so...this is fine. [Also they're maybe concerned about being a good friend thanks to their first conversation with her.

Then again, they would accept people-watching. That sounds nice even if they don't know that's what she'd think.]

[whitewalls]

... other people might want to talk to you...

[ she'll just give them the chance to leave if they want.

it's funny, it's just them quietly trying to be polite to each other ]

[cyclists]

Then they can come and find me. [Well that was easy.] Let's take more of the snacks and go sit down.

[Initiative!]

[whitewalls]

Mm, alright.

[ she'll grab a plate so they can just stack it with different things instead of holding it in their hands like animals. ]

[cyclists]

[Congrats on being civilized. If Naminé's holding the plate, Sol will start piling on a bunch of snacks for them. They plan to stick by her for a while, at least.]

[whitewalls]

[ she's going to wait until sol fills it.

... she'll also grab some things and add it to it, as well. they will also need drinks. ]
