On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

A good time takes both sides. I dunno if anybody else would crash a tractor into a gate with me, besides you.

[ There's some people here who are skeptical and grouches, yeah, but at least they're not... stupid... like the two of them. ]

It was a way to make a good first impression.

[ maybe not "good" but. it was definitely a memorable one.

and she can't say she would have done that on her own, so it was nice to have a new experience even if it ended with them crashing horribly. ]

[ It was definitely... an impression ]

It's a bit late for it now, but... Next time, don't think you have to agree with me to make a good impression. Telling me I'm wrong is fine, too. I won't get mad.

[ She was clearly hesitant about it, but ended up going with him anyways... It's one thing being an enabler, but being enabled and having Naminé get hurt because of his bad ideas is sort of... hmm. ]

[whitewalls]

... okay.

[ ah, so he noticed. she idly scratches the back of her head as she tries to figure out how to respond. ]

I was hoping it might work, at first...

[compendiem]

It did work.

[ Even if he noticed right away, because he's so used to people immediately calling him out and berating him for thoughtless ideas instead of immediately going along the same way he does with others, it was still a good impression because he could understand the intention behind it. Because he's like that too. But in the end, he'd really rather people do what they want, not feel like they have to do what he wants. ]

I'll like you no matter what you do. So you don't have to worry about stuff like that.

[ Naminé could be a murderer, and Minato would stan ]

[ the only time she's heard something like that, it was based on a lie. so there's an odd feeling in her chest, and she can't really tell if it's a negative or positive emotion, just that it aches. ]

... thank you.

[ she feels a little silly, getting emotional when they're surrounded by people dancing and there's a clown somewhere, but. ]

[ Who the fuck lied to her about that, I will shank them. ]

You're welcome. I'm a bit thirsty. Do you want something to drink too?

[whitewalls]

Oh... sure. Are there any drinks here you like in particular?

[ she's just going to follow his lead

mostly because the drinks aren't blood ]

Coffee, but I dunno if they have any here.

[ They can always melt down the blood pudding if there's nothing else. ]

I made milkshakes with Sol a while earlier. Melted ice cream with whatever we can find to sprinkle on top.

[whitewalls]

Oh, they must have liked that.

[ she is a big fan of sol so other people hanging out with him makes her happy. ]

They're good then...?

[compendiem]

I think they're good, and I think Sol enjoyed it too. Want me to make you one?

[ They can have mochi milkshakes!!! ]

[whitewalls]

Sure!

[ she says it quickly, but then quickly adds, ]

If you don't mind.

[compendiem]

I don't mind.

[ He never really minds anything that he does, after all, and it's really no trouble making milkshakes when he gets to enjoy them too, even though his milkshakes are more like """milkshakes""" the same way his dancing was more like """dancing"""

aka he makes the same sort that he did with Sol earlier: he picks up a cute animal mochi (a sheep for Naminé, a bear for himself) and digs its face out with a spoon before filling it back up with ice cream. On hindsight, he sets it in a champagne glass, because it's supposed to be a milkshake.

Ta-da. Enjoy. ]

literally has no way of knowing that this is wrong. so she's just going to accept this abomination as a milkshake, because it's obviously? one?

...

i hate this she's going to try to drink it ]

[ It's obviously one and Minato says absolutely nothing as he makes one for himself too, watching Naminé drink her milkshake. Hopefully she doesn't swallow it whole. ]

[whitewalls]

[ she has learned to be careful about anything minato hands to her, at least

although this is better than the pudding so that's something. ]

[compendiem]

[ It's better than the pudding because Minato just sort of mashed two good things together, there's no way it can go wrong. Still not saying anything, Minato finishes up stuffing his milkshake and drops it into his glass, and tips it so that the mochi rolls to the rim and he can... suck the ice cream out of the bear's face, I guess. ]

[whitewalls]

It's... good?

[ something tells her that something isn't quite right with this, but she seems to be rolling with it regardless. ]

[compendiem]

[ The inflection at the end suggests uncertainty, but Minato decides to take the words at face value, nodding his agreement as he tips the glass a little further so he can dump the entire mochi in his mouth and chew up his bear.

A proper milkshake, then... which is still not a proper milkshake, but closer to one: it's just ice cream scooped into the champagne glass with a spoon stuck into it- he makes one for each Naminé and himself. ]

Do you make food like this where you're from?

[ or is he just working with what's being offered at the banquet. ]

[compendiem]

Mm... Mostly I eat out, instead of cooking. It's just easier that way. But I can make simple stuff, like smoothies and soups.

[ Things you can just throw in a blender or into a pot and walk away for a few minutes/fall asleep and wake up two hours later and nothing is in danger of being on fire. Minato has plenty of money mugging monsters; he doesn't need to cook himself. ]

[whitewalls]

... can you teach me how to make soup?

[ she is going to say no to anything that involves blood but

she figures it can't be too difficult. ]

[compendiem]

[ The only blood involved will be bleeding fingers from kitchen accidents—- but no, it should be fine, raw meat and anything bloody should cook so IT'S FINE ]

Sure thing. If you bring me a list of ingredients you like in soup, we can figure out how to make everything work.

[ Because they're not going to work off a recipe, oh no. ]

That's fine. Whenever you're free is fine.

Hm... I was asked to do something tomorrow, so I'll be busy all day then. How about the day after that?

[ If Naminé is still alive by then??? ig we'll see in like an hour or whatever ]
