On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

[ he's got this backwards but it's fine ]

That sounds easy enough.

[Closing in on Tsuru's space, she takes his left hand in her right, her own left taking hold of his waist—with perhaps a bit more force than is necessary.]

Is this correct?

[ unfortunately he does not seem to mind

but he'll place his other hand on her shoulder ]

You got it! And now we move along to the music.

[There's a beat—and her brow knits.]

Is there not... some steps I should know?

Just follow my lead. It's easy enough!

[ he won't turn it into a monstrosity of a dance right away, anyway ]

Your lead? I--Oh!

[They are dancing!

Probably!

Incredibly, she only treads on his foot on the second step.]

Haha! Ow!

[ that hurt!

he doesn't seem too bothered by it though ]

[And another accidental footstomp.

Unforgivable. I will definitely get better!

[Head down, staring at Tsuru's feet.]

[ that seems like it'll cause another problem but

it's kind of funny even if his feet hurt ]

[Still looking down, she nods.]

Yes! I will master this, too!!

[Rather than dancing, at this point, it's more... Milla hopscotching around Tsurumaru's feet?

But she seems pleased with her efforts, at least???]

[ and now he has to look down at their feet to see whatever milla is doing

they probably look really stupid but it's fine ]

[Two turtles on zigging and zagging on the dance floor

so it is nearly inevitable when their heads bonk together.]

[ i can't believe this is how tsuru actually died ]

[ and, again, it hurt! ]

[I can't believe Milla softened Tsuru up for bear consumption

She jolts her head up, mouth a perfect "o".]

Ah! I really am a klutz at this. But it's nothing I can't overcome.

Lead us on! I'll improve, I guarantee it.

[REALLY????]

I'm sure you can! Surprise me with your dancing technique!!

[ it's really unfortunate that tsuru is just an enabler, so despite the various injuries here he is

just going to start moving again once milla is ready ]

[Oh, she'll surprise him, all right.

Overcome with the responsibility of expectation, she reverses course, stretches out their arms, and executes some sort of ambling tango across the floor.]
