Week Three

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I wonder if you'll find the skyline familiar? Do try to be kind to those you find on the other side."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"You guys did great minimizing the damage and working together...so keep it up."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to experience the emotions of one another. The clarity of these emotions enhances with proximity, and they will be able to feel the emotions of their partner's intermingling with their own.

[ he gestures around himself as if to say in public? like he would want to say it privately more? he would not. ]

Anyway, I ain't finding anything in this book. It's garbage.

[He's 2542, but has he really had romantic experiences?]

[ wait no he's IMMEDIATELY distracted, beaming ]

Hey! You said my name!

[Oh... Oh no cute?

Val is immediately flustered, pink rising up to his cheeks.]

O-of course.

[leaberator]

[ ha ha, he's blushing. weird. anyway. ]

Don't "of course" me! I've been waiting weeks for you to stop being stuff an' do it, Vally.

[yeah it is weird don't question it please.]

I... was always going to use it eventually. You've... earned it.

[leaberator]

Earned my own name? Gee, thanks.

[ but he's kidding, and he leans forward to prop his elbows on his knee and his chin in his hands, as if intent ]

So what did I do to earn it?

[omegathree]

[Val fucking chokes now that he has Lea's full attention. He clearly has no idea what to do with it and his brain's gone and short circuited.]

You've...! Yeah.... !

[leaberator]

[ he just. tilts his head slightly

:? ]

What? Don't tell me you forgot?

[ it's teasing. ]

I know why!

[Why does he look both incredibly embarrassed and yet completely unable to string explanations together?]

[leaberator]

[ yeah that's a real good question. why's he like that. is it the book. ]

Then out with it! Or are you keeping it a secret?

[omegathree]

[why would it be the book, lea. i mean he is still holding it because he's so busy dealing with feelings he forgot about it.

It takes him a while to answer, like he's somehow ended up ended up entirely tongue tied.]

It's not a secret.

[leaberator]

[ ah. axel's smile goes all fond ]

Aw. I think you're my friend too, Vally.

[ yay, friendship :) ]

[Y...Yeah, it's just friendship is all. He definitely doesn't want to hold a hand or--

Val's panic seems to subside with that admission. His expression melts into a warm smile.]

I'm grateful that you do.

[leaberator]

'Course. C'mon, you think I seek out people I don't like just to have a chat?

[omegathree]

[ He looks delighted and then immediately embarrassed about how happy he is. ]

We've only known each other a few weeks. Please feel free to talk to me whenever you'd like.

[leaberator]

[ he laughs, a little ]

Sure? I kinda already do, though.

[omegathree]

Then I'll do the same.

[ not allowed to say no to that apparently ]

[leaberator]

Alright. I'm looking forward to it.

[ he's already doing it? haha, val's so formal. this is what is happening here. ]

[omegathree]

[He doesn't exactly reach out to touch Lea's hand but there's an awkward aborted move where he almost does.]

Moving... Back to matters of the heart, why are you researching that?

[leaberator]

[ he notices the hand movement but can't figure out what it means before being distracted by-- no why would you want to move back to that. why ]

... Well... the heart's a complicated thing, right? It's interesting.

[omegathree]

[Somebody's gone and cursed him this way. It's the worst week he's had here, though he can't parse it as such at the moment.]

Metaphorically and physically, it is.

[leaberator]

Yeah, physically ain't my thing. It's icky.

[ :/ ]

[omegathree]

Because of the blood?

[ he can't believe he likes a guy who unironically said the word "icky."

Either way now that they're talking about this, Val seems more at ease. ]
