Week Four

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

[ That's just life...

Minato sits down on the dock and lies flops backwards to lie down on the dock, staring up at the sky. By proxy he also pulls Naminé's hand down with him but that is also life. ]

[whitewalls]

[ yea

she'll sit down next to him then, her feet dangling off the dock. hopefully it's sunny so they can dry off more quickly. ]

[ It was sunny, but as soon as Francy wrote this tag, the clouds come rolling in and overcast the sky. They won't dry anytime soon, but maybe the breeze will help more than the sunlight, though that's harder when they're by such a large body of water.

Here's another puzzle for you, Naminé:

Minato raises a hand and points up at the castle, with a tilt of his head.

Then, he brings his hands together, sort of in prayer except his fingers point up towards Naminé instead of at his own face, and he gives her a quizzical look. ]

[ minato what the fuck does this mean

she looks at the castle, then at minato. ]

Something about... going to the castle...?

[ she has to say that out loud, complete with the fuck, and then maybe he'll answer her with words

Minato nods, and then does the prayer hands again. ]

[whitewalls]

[ no one has taught her to say fuck yet ]

Do you want to go there?

[compendiem]

[ One day Minato will teach her to say fuck.

Does he want to go to the castle, though... he really is comfortable enough just lying here on the dock and hoping nobody steps on him when they depart their boat, but.

He points at Naminé. This one should be easy? ]

[whitewalls]

Have I gone?

[ ... ]

Do I want to go?

[ ...The second one is close enough. He nods at the second question. ]

[whitewalls]

Mm... let's go together?

[ she nudges him slightly. ]

Maybe we can find somewhere warm.

[compendiem]

[ Alright. Apparently that's the thing to say to get Minato to stand up, rolling the stiffness out of his ankles. Belatedly, he makes the ok sign with his hand, and then holds it up towards the sky. Whatever that means.

But he'll go back to holding Naminé's hand to head towards the castle. ]

[whitewalls]

[ she just nods, having no idea what she just nodded to but naminé figures that it's fine. if she just agreed to jump out a castle window without knowing then that's just what she'll have to deal with later.

but off they go, and she swings their hands between them. ]

[compendiem]

[ I can't believe they're going to jump off a castle window later.

Minato gives her hand a squeeze and as soon as they enter the castle he's leading her up the stairs. They're going to keep going up until they get to the top floor. ]

[whitewalls]

[ this is fine!! up they go!! ]

This place is pretty big, isn't it?

[compendiem]

[ Yeah, there's plants everywhere and Minato's got leg pads in his bag so either they or Naminé will save them.

He nods that yeah, it is pretty big, but he's also distracted by... honestly, everything here. Moving pictures, floating candles, staircases that pull away from the landing the moment both he and Naminé get on and he almost loses his balance in surprise.

Why can't Tartarus be like this?? ]

[whitewalls]

[ this place is a lot better than the last castle she was in so like

she's content just from that. at least it isn't all white. ]

It seems pretty magical, doesn't it?

[compendiem]

[ Hmm, is magical the word he would use?

Minato lets go of Naminé's hand, gets out his notebook and writes something down before tearing out the page, placing the notebook back into his bag, handing Naminé the note, and taking her hand back.

The piece of paper says "Cursed." ]

[whitewalls]

Cursed?

[ she looks around, trying to see it the way minato is... ]

Like haunted?

[compendiem]

[ He nods, because yeah this place is haunted? Just look at the place.

With his free hand, he traces out a circle in front of them, then looks at Naminé ]

[whitewalls]

[ she is really bad at charades, apparently, ]

Circle?

[compendiem]

[ It's okay, Minato is also bad at charades. But his opinion is that it's just Naminé, because he pulls this face. ]

[whitewalls]

Ah... are you judging me...

[ what does circle mean, she's crying on the inside. ]

[compendiem]

[ Yes he is.

He averts his gaze but then tries to cover it up by shaking his head and tugging Naminé a bit further up the stairwell, where they're about to arrive at one of the landings. He points towards the doorway to the classrooms, but also holds her hand a little tighter so she doesn't get off the stairs. ]

[whitewalls]

[ ah

she looks over at the classroom, then at minato, and back at the classroom.

naminé does not get off the stairs because she does not know what they're doing. ]

[ Same.

The two of them stand on the stairs too long, and it starts to go back down to the lower floor. ]
