Week Four

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

In addition, ensure that all of your week three private conversations were reported on the page, and your week four private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

[ well axel's here at this extremely, wildly pink coffee ship, sitting down. he is wearing clothes and i'm very proud of him. those are real pants. everyone please clap.

This place is reaching untold levels of kitschy, huh?

[ he sounds delighted by it ]

[foodbin]

[He sure is not here alone! Because Emma is also here, and she's glancing around at the decor. I tried to find a cute outfit as well before I gave up, but she is wearing a flower in her hair, which she has down for once.]

Honestly, if there aren't any skeletons popping out of the ground to grab at our ankles or spike pits looming ahead in secret, I can stand a little kitsch. [She laughs.] You think someday our standards will go back to normal?

[leaberator]

You kidding? [ he puts an elbow on the table like a mannerless rube, leaning his face on it ] Those are ruined forever. The good thing is, that means we don't get picky as easy, so we can enjoy... [ he gestures vaguely at the place ] Maximum kitsch.

[ please make them stop saying kitsch ]

[foodbin]

Right. Just what I always wanted.

[She glances around for a moment longer before looking back his way.]

You know, as awful as the coffee shop I worked in was, I'll say this for it: it did not look like this.

[leaberator]

[ he laughs a bit at that ]

Soooo... the only thing it had going for it comparatively was the decor, is what you're saying?

[foodbin]

That's a pretty accurate summary, yes. In general, I am pretty glad I never have to hear people scream at me about hot chocolate anymore.

[She tilts her head, though.]

Still, it kind of seems like you've got me beat as far as awful workplaces go.

[leaberator]

[ he tilts his head right back, as if in thought ]

Yeah, as far as workplaces go, I've got most people beat... [ then he grins ] But I've never had to do a single day of customer service, so, you win some, you lose some?

[ sure let's go with that ]

[foodbin]

I feel like saying lucky you would be kind of misplaced, here.

[She pauses for a moment.]

You know, I don't think I asked... Do you like coffee, or was this just kind of the most convenient place?

[leaberator]

Coffee's alright? Too bitter au naturel, but it's not like you can't sweeten the deal. [ he looks a widdle embarrassed ] This was just the most obvious... y'know. [ he gestures around them ] But on second thought, maybe not my greatest choice. You must be pretty sick of it, right?

[foodbin]

So you're a mocha kind of guy, huh.

[She shakes her head, though, with a small smile - and reaches across the table to take his hand.]

It's fine, I promise. I mean, I might have to start a brawl if someone starts asking about a refund, but...

[leaberator]

You got me. I want my caffeine intake as dessert-tasting as possible.

[ he squeezes her hand back when she takes it, laughing ]

See, problem is now I'm torn? Because I kinda wanna see you do that. Beat 'em up to make up for all the ones you couldn't.

[foodbin]

Next thing I'll know you'll be shotgunning italian sodas.

[The grin stays, even as she shakes her head.]

Right. Rogue Emma strikes again with her vigilante justice.

[leaberator]

I have no idea what those are.

[ please don't ask me where italy is in kingdom hearts? anyway, he looks at her with the most (fake) serious expression ]

Yes. Take your revenge, Rogue Emma. Show 'em all what a refund really looks like.

[ what does that even Mean ]

[foodbin]

...That is not allowed. Come on, we need to get you one.

[Her going rogue is forgotten, apparently, because she’s standing up.]

[leaberator]

[ um???? he looks bewildered for a second before he shrugs and gets up after her ]

Is it that big of a deal?

[foodbin]

It's like hearing someone has never had cheesecake, or never seen Star Wars. It's just jarring.

[leaberator]

[ ........ hm ]

Then you're definitely not gonna like this. What's "Star Wars"?

[foodbin]

[There's a very overdramatic gasp, here.]

That is also a thing I need to fix.

[leaberator]

[ he's? laughing? ]

That's not telling me anything, you know. [ he grabs her hand to hold it as they walk ] Can I at least know where we're going on this newfound quest?

[foodbin]

It's a movie. Please tell me you know what movies are.

[She takes his hand easily, linking her fingers through his as they approach the counter, and an italian soda just appears out of thin air.]

Well, look at that. Easier than I thought.

[leaberator]

Yeah, I know what movies are. I'd be offended, but I guess that's a serious question around these parts.

[ he's peering at the soda???? ]

... This kinda looks like regular soda?

[foodbin]

Good. I'll ask Lune if he can get us a projector and a DVD player, or something.

[She shakes her head.]

It's strawberry flavored. Try it.

[leaberator]

I don't think Lune knows what those are.

[ like. genuinely. he is rather certain? he picks up the soda curiously before taking a drink and

he laughs halfway through it ]

C'mon, it's just strawberry soda! It doesn't taste any different!

[foodbin]

...I'll ask Sol if he can get us a projector and a DVD player, or something.

[She laughs.]

You have to put half and half in it, and it has whipped cream. Totally different.

[leaberator]

It's soda with cream in it, then! You made it sound like such a big deal!
