Week Four

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

i.) Gateway - Sports field

[As Kaoru finds himself wandering the grounds, he makes his way toward the field where those tall rings loom above him. It's an empty field and he can at least discern the fact that it's a sports field of some sort.

As such, when he makes his way into the locker room and finds that box, he hauls it back out to the middle of the field and sits down to try and figure out how to open it. He squints a little, knocking on the lid of the box and shaking it around.]

What do you think is inside? [That's to literally anyone nearby, hi.]

ii. Classroom

[He can be found sitting in a window seat in a classroom with a stack of books next to him, reading through all of them carefully. It seems like he's currently working on a Transfiguration book, turning the page with one hand as he uses his free hand to create small fire shapes at will. It seems to rotate between the flame being shaped like stars, hearts, and a bunny? So that's fine. You may or may not wish to interrupt him.]

iii. Joke Shop

[He's casually browsing the wares of this place, picking up items that seem interesting including dungbombs and a handful of sugar quills in various colors. Picking up a nose-biting teacup, he holds it up to eye level before poking it with his finger.]

How do you think these were made? Can we replicate them?

[That's probably a bad question to ask, please tell him to put things down.]

iv. The date/cafe prompt

[Throughout the week, anyone passing by that overly pink coffee shop will immediately be flagged down by Kaoru who's holding a serving tray with tea, coffee and little cakes on it. He's also dressed in a very nice waiter uniform and he's grinning devilishly as he uses the free hand to grab you by the arm and pull you into the shop.]

You look like you could use some refreshment. [He's setting down a few cups and cakes then.] And some good company. I'll be right back.

[You can either a.) stop him, b.) yell at him and leave, or c.) realize you're doomed from the start because he's moving fast and pulling in the next available person to escort them to a chair across from yours. At least the service is good.

[It's break week, he's mostly found wandering the castle, in the library, or accosting strangers to spend time with him. He can also be found in the greenhouses out back looking at the weird plants.]

[ Okay.

Minato sits down at the table and just starts eating the cake without waiting for whoever Kaoru's going to grab. Mmm. Delicious. ]

[Minato...Kaoru's on the lookout for a date for him, but...]

Wait, is Akane going to kill me if I'm doing this?

[ tilting his head and then shrugging. sure? he'll let himself be pulled by the kid.

he'll just sip at his coffee while waiting to see what kaoru has planned ]

[Kaoru has a plan, of course, but he pauses halfway out the door to loop back around to Feral.]

Any preferences? [He a.) wants happy customers and b.) is well aware Feral's kind of an adult and should take that into account, maybe.]

[ Hello, it is Akane! And I'm very sorry!

... But she isn't. She sits down across from Feral and looks pretty cheerful about this whole thing. ]

Oh, we haven't gotten to talk much! This will be nice!

[He takes the seat across from Feral and pulls a plate of cake closer to him.]

Nothing wrong with a friend-date, right?

[ That's... Surprisingly lenient of her, but... Akane is here for a date! And promises not to murder someone for going on a friend date with her boyfriend. Probably. ]

I don't think so. After everything I think it might not be horrific to just relax and regroup anyway. [But he's pondering...and there's a grin before he spots someone at a table.]

I know the perfect match. Anything else you need before your date?

What?

[ Four has no idea what's going on, so her gloved hand flies out to grab Kaoru just like he grabbed her. ]

Please explain yourself.

[Eventually, Four is going to end up with Minato but for now they're now grabbing each other's arms? Kaoru looks surprised, but there's a cheerful laugh.]

Remember how you said you'd like to see what my world was like? Love is a part of it...or at least tea and good conversations. It's part of what I do back home and thought it'd make sense to try here as well. I know the perfect date for you for the afternoon, too.

[There's a grin.] This is just for fun, Four. Is talking to each other really so bad? [Granted, he seems to glance elsewhere before he frowns.] Talking may be a bit of a problem...

...[But then he looks outside and immediately lights up.] Don't move. [AND HE ZIPS OUTSIDE, accosting someone and grabbing her by the hand and vaguely explaining that he needs her assistance before bringing her back to Four.

Four, Xion, Xion, Four.]

Xion may be of assistance, actually. You're Minato's partner, right?

[SHE'S GONNA HIT HIM and there's actually no telepathy here because. you know. lili says everything she thinks,,]

[THIS MEANS NOTHING. In fact, he's actually grinning even wider as he drags her across the café.]

You need my help most of all, I think. I know you're stubborn and you're going to think it's pointless, but it's not. And if you don't date him I'll ask him on a date myself. [He won't, but it's to get under her skin.

With that, she'll notice he's taking her straight to a table where he's managed to wrangle Kara somehow.] It'll be fun, I promise.

And where do you think you're going? [He's not as tall as Kara, but he's suddenly RIGHTTHERE and blocking his path, giving him a displeased look.] You could actually benefit from this if you sat still long enough.

[After watching the shapes he makes for a while, curious:]

What's with the rabbit?

[He looks up, watching the rabbit curl into a ball before hopping forward a bit. There's a grin in Emma's direction.]

It's cute, isn't it? A friend of mine has a stuffed rabbit he keeps with him at all times. Usa-chan doesn't really look like this, but this was a little easier to manage.

[Oh. Well he stops and he looks surprised for about five seconds even as he's holding her hand and blinking stupidly.

[Val doesn't seem as sharp today as he usually does. It's much easier to pull him along than it normally would be, but at the same time, despite his frame, Val is very heavy.

Kaoru's just lucky Val isn't putting up a struggle.]
