As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I would not grow complacent, but I also wonder if you all might enjoy the surprise."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"Maybe we can have another week like the last. It'd be nice, wouldn't it? Good luck out there."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to see odd mirages and hear voices calling for them. Even though they might not realize it, these phantoms that will be haunting them will be their partner's most important person, calling for them to come home. Partners will only be able to see each other's illusions if they make physical contact.

[Well. He charmed the robo-sheep into letting him stay on the blimp and when he enters the observation deck there's a quiet sigh of relief. He hadn't noticed Minato initially as he walked in, but now as he goes to get settled it's a little hard to ignore.]

[ Honestly, Minato would like it if people tried a little harder to ignore him, but he looks up and gives Kaoru a tired smile when he looks over his shoulder at him. ]

Yeah. It's like looking after people, without having to be there. The cannon shoots further than I thought it would.

...you didn't get up here via cannon, did you. [God, why is that even a consideration. But he's looking at Minato curiously because he can at least read the look.]

[ That is a consideration and fortunately one Minato hasn't had. Unfortunately, he's having it now. ]

Do you think the cannon can shoot somebody up this high, if it's pointed directly at the sky?

[Fuck.]

It would depend on the angle. Shooting something straight up would just cause it to fall straight down instead of going somewhere else, not to mention the pressure of the impact in the first place. I think.

If it's aimed directly up here, I'd be able to melt a hole in the bottom of the floor. Then there's no worry about the impact.

[ There would be a lot of other worries, granted, but it's still technically feasible? Not practical, or smart, but. feasible. ]

Do you have enough control with the lava already to melt while you're in motion? [Please stop considering this.]

[ There's some hesitation but

a very confident "yes" ]

Somehow...I'm still not convinced. Interesting theory though. [But he's lifting an eyebrow. ] Are you okay?

[compendiem]

I can demonstrate for you later, maybe.

[ But he sits up a little straighter, so he's not leaning too heavily against the glass and so he can turn and look at Kaoru without having his neck twisted all the time. ]

I'm fine, though. Don't I look okay?

[ A lot... more okay, than he's been in the previous few weeks. There's glitter in his hair that won't ever come out, but he smells like soap. ]

Let's try to find something else to launch out of there besides you or me. [He tilts his head in thought.]

You look mostly okay, but that doesn't mean much. [It's a polite way of saying he's never quite sure how Minato feels about anything,] The cat ears help.

[ That's not as fun, though... neither of them will have a first hand experience that way? ]

Yeah... The cat ears have that effect. Make you seem more okay than you are.

How come you don't wear yours?

[ He made one for everybody ): how come nobody wears their ears ): ]

I think they're just distracting but it's the same thing. [There's a half-smile though.] I've worn them a few times. You just haven't seen it.

[There's debate if that's true or not, but Minato doesn't need to know that.]

[ What's the point of wearing them when Minato can't see!!! ]

Yeah, it's the same thing. Were they okay? The stitching, and stuff. I've had a lot of practice after doing so many.

The craftsmanship was actually really well done for something like that. I was impressed. [It was basic, but they've held up pretty well.] Why'd you make them anyway?

[ He knows in his heart but his eyes want proof too!!! ]

Originally? It was for Shess, but I had misunderstood something. Now, it's... something like happiness. I guess.

[Maybe someday soon!!]

Like those charms you made. [That's understandable.] I don't think it's bad, necessarily. Everyone needs to remember to relax every now and then even if our situation's pretty grim.

Yeah... That's what I thought too. I dunno why everybody here finds it so hard to relax, but I thought maybe I could help with that.

[ Minato is always relaxed all the time; it's not hard. ]

I imagine it has to do with all of the murder and betrayal. [Just a thought.] But at the same time, we could all use the reminder to calm down every now and then.

Oh. Right, murder and betrayal isn't the usual.

[ Sometimes he forgets that, being immersed in murder and betrayal and getting to the point where he's just "okay." That's honestly pretty terrible. ]

...see, statements like that are why I ask you questions like if you're okay. [He raises an eyebrow.]

Um. It's the usual, so... I'm okay.

[ But he has to look away, because, like. It's not okay in a general sense, but he's just gotten so used to it, that he, personally, is okay with it. He's just not sure how to put this into words that doesn't just make it sound more concerning. ]

...is that the usual here or back home because of your Persona thing? [He's just curious but also ???]

Um. Both, but not because of the Persona thing. ...It's only sort of the Persona thing. Indirectly. Sort of.

[ Not his Persona thing!!! Just in general, Personas, murder, death, dying, end of the world. ]

I'm not going to pry if you don't want to actually discuss it, but I suddenly understand a lot more than I previously did. [No wonder Minato is Like This.]
