On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

[This is. So strange.]

Well. You're here now, so you may as well find a few things you like. [And see if the magic stays for days going forward.] I don't know if we're going anywhere but this is somewhere new.

[whitewalls]

It seems like they don't expect us to be leaving any time soon, at least.

[ she finds another green dress, this time more forest green, and she holds it out for kaoru to see. ]

We still haven't thought of why either...unless you believe what those two from yesterday said? [Sol and Lune. There's a nod of approval and he turns to fetch a thin white-beige sweater to go over it.]

I wouldn't say I fully believe them, but... I come from a somewhat similar situation. The thing about light and darkness, that they were saying, it's a struggle back home too.

[ so it's not that unbelievable for her. ]

Really? [He's met people who come from magic worlds, but this is the first he's hearing about the light and dark thing.] How have you been fixing it?

[whitewalls]

... sadly what we've been doing, I don't think will be applicable here.

[ none of them have keyblades rip ]

Then we're all guessing what we're supposed to do. [Yikes.] ...well. For a universe that's apparently succumbing to darkness things seem okay right now. Maybe they're wrong about how serious it is?

[...he's also grabbing a jean jacket for her to go over her usual white dress.]

[ she's wandering back to the changing room ]

It's not always that obvious. When it was happening back home, unless you were aware of it already, you probably had no idea what was going on.

And how long was something like that happening? [You know, if Naminé's going to give him answers he'll just ask. Also good. Please love yourself and wear something cute.]

... a very long time.

But hopefully that won't be the case here.

They can't keep us here forever. It won't be that long. [It can't be.]

...how do those fit?

Really well! I guess there really is magic in this place...? I didn't look at the size when I grabbed it.

[ does she even know what her dress size is? probably not ]

Magic clothes is still something that sounds incredibly weird, but I guess our captors recognize we should be comfortable. [He's also jotting down some notes in his original sketchpad.]

At least you get to keep them, too.

[whitewalls]

[ ... honestly magic clothes isn't that weird since the fairies exist but

she just nods as she steps out of the dressing room. she's in the darker green dress. ]

What are you writing?

Just some notes. Measurements, questions about magic...[Kaoru might be losing his mind a little but it's okay. On the other hand, that gets a smile from him? Green looks nice, just like he thought.]

...what's your name anyway? [Did he read the scrolls? Yes. Is he asking just to see if she'll confirm? Yes.]

I'm Naminé. It's nice to meet you.

[ and she means it, since this has been... nice. it's something very different from what she's used to doing, and it shows with how she keeps turning slightly to watch the skirt swish. ]

Kaoru. And it's nice to meet you, too. [Being sociable is easy, being friendly is harder. But this doesn't seem to be going poorly, eyes going back to the sketchpad to take notes.] If all of us are going to be here, it makes sense to meet as many people as we can, doesn't it?

[Things he's not saying: "this way we can tell who is and isn't sketchy as hell."]

It does. Especially if we're all supposed to be working towards a goal together. That'll be difficult if we never talk.

[ it's okay, despite her looks, she's also suspicious ]

Some people are making it harder to find them though. [Where are some of you jerks hiding???] You think that's why we couldn't go anywhere for the first couple of days?

[whitewalls]

Maybe... they could have wanted us to get used to each other first.

[ she's not sure. ]

Or maybe they didn't want us to wander off without knowing anything?

But how are we supposed to learn anything if we can't go anywhere? [He's not used to this oppression, plz.] The former makes sense though if we're supposed to be helping their universe or whatever.

... I don't know.

[ no one ever asks her with plans they just drag her along ]

They must have had some reasoning for it.

[There is zero reason he's here alone, but that's okay. Naminé is harmless so he's not going to bitch at her.]

I didn't speak to either of them, but if there's a reasoning it isn't a good one yet.

They don't seem to know a lot of what's going on either. They know more than we go, but...

[ what they really need is to find whoever is actually in charge

who is... apparently the universe.... so. ]

But it's not enough. The library's pretty empty, too. [But. Shrug!] Someone has to rescue us sooner or later.
