On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

Honestly... it feels weird to wear other people's stuff. I didn't think we'd be here long enough to necessitate that.

If this is a welcome parting, then this is just the beginning of our stay.

They want us to do something and haven't given us any steps, so it's going to take time.

[compendiem]

[ A welcoming party where the guests are asked to bring their own food? ]

Well... How it happens in the movies, we'll be told something or other by the end of the night. Midnight's the magic time, isn't it?

[ sure, why not? ]

You think they want to make us stay up that late? What a hassle...

[compendiem]

Is midnight that late...? What time do you usually go to bed?

[ Minato is up drinking coffee right before midnight, so he isn't one to say what normal sleeping hours are. ]

Hmm... It's usually about when I go to bed, I guess. I have to wake up early for school, after all.

[compendiem]

What about on Sunday? No school on Sunday.

[ And no school here, so sleep schedules don't matter ]

[specialdog]

But I want to watch TV on Sunday Mornings.

[ Sunday mornings are Super Hero Time!!! ... which again, totally doesn't matter here, but........ ]

Ah- what day of the week is it? The new Featherman...

[specialdog]

Don't know. But with this place snatching us all up from different times and places, I get the feeling it doesn't matter.

[compendiem]

What year are you from again...?

[ If she's from the future!!!! there's a possibility he might get to watch missed episodes, she can go home and scour the internet for them. ]

[ Probably. That's the year it aired and she uses modern looking cell phones and tablets so just go with it, okay. ]

I've never heard of Featherman before.

[compendiem]

[ Another one for the future, which makes Minato look pretty pleased, at the idea of the universe surviving past 2009. But whatever happiness he feels is somewhat dashed by Akane's lack of Featherman familiarity. ]

Phoenix Ranger Featherman R? It's pretty popular... back in 2009. Something like... Super Sentai?

You like those kinds of shows?

I've never heard of that one, but...

[compendiem]

Yeah, it's pretty interesting. One of the others on my floor back home would always watch it, so it'd be playing every Sunday morning.

[ He'd come downstairs whenever he manages to wake up, and catch parts of the ending. Someday he'll watch the whole thing. ]

What about you?

[ she sounds a little hesitant to admit it, but also... is bursting to. ]

I like them...!

Ahh, they're cool, right? Do they still have mechas in the future? Masks? The group attack formation poses?

[ She's excited and that's cute, and it makes him smile too, a little more energy in his voice as well than he's ever displayed. ]

Mechas and masks are a must! Poses, too! But I don't watch a lot of ensemble shows, I prefer the solo stories.

Buuuut the most important part are the monsters of the week!

Getting to see a new monster every week and how the hero grows to fight against them?

[ Or does she just. like the monsters. ]

[specialdog]

Isn't it more like the opposite? The heroes just keep doing the same stuff and using the power of friendship and justice - but the monsters are new every time!

[ ......... she just likes the monsters. ]

[compendiem]

Hmm... It does get kinda repetitive. [ But he never gets bored watching the heroes come together to save the day with friendship. ]

But you're right, the monsters are always different, and a lot more interesting. I wonder when they'll finally win?

[specialdog]

[ Akane nods enthusiastically!! Yeah!!! ]

The writers don't want it to happen, so they just have to keep trying. It's a little sad.
