On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

[ Minato's finest happens to be the same school uniform he'd been wearing for the past five days— it's just a little wrinkled and salty, having been dunked into the water two or more times, both with Minato still wearing it— and a headband with black cat ears he'd promised not to take off. Ever.

At least he takes some time staring at the side of a large metal pitcher to use it as a mirror to fix the ribbon around his neck. Gotta look presentable. ]

[ He doesn't care much for dancing (this is just him the entire time), but he will try one of each type of food regardless of how disgusting or inedible it appears.

And then for the rest of the night he hands out by the paints with all the excitement of a grade schooler getting to finger paint for the first time. Let him vandalize your face. ]

[ Cute... Even if Minato were forced to change into something else, he'd have kept his back ribbon tie and they can be matchy-matchy. ]

Is that something to be sorry for? [ Honestly, sorry that Kazuaki's fate is tied to Minato. ]

We're all in this together, so maybe... think of it more like a web, than a single thread from me to you.

[ He thought Kazuaki might feel safer, living in something like the school dormitories back home, where there's plenty of people around to watch over each other. ]

I thought it might be night... Or, starting small. Like having meals together. How does that sound to you?

[ He tugs a little on his ribbon, touches his left arm for the briefest of moments before letting his hand drop again. ]

Honestly... it feels weird to wear other people's stuff. I didn't think we'd be here long enough to necessitate that.

[ hmm, she notices that but doesn't comment. ]

If this is a welcome parting, then this is just the beginning of our stay.

They want us to do something and haven't given us any steps, so it's going to take time.

[ Sighs into the sky, because Minato smiles when he sees Hisoka's reflection, turns with one hand raised by his face, and goes ]

[ Just like how Akane taught him. ]

The look isn't complete unless you paint your face like one.

Hmm... That'd be a pain to wash off. Maybe just the whiskers?

[ He hands Hisoka his life the brush. ]

Could you?

[In one hand, he takes the brush. In the other, he takes Minato's jaws and chin, curling his nails. It'd be easy to break, but he doesn't.

He gives Minato some whiskers, the dotted pores for them, and a little nose, taking his time.]

she's kind of just watching him pick something very gross looking ]

[ It's probably Minato's own blood pudding he's scooping into a small bowl, because nobody else will touch it and everything up there so far actually looks really good. ]

It should be. I made it myself. Want to try?

[ she looks at it ]

[ Minato puts a little extra into the bowl and hands it to her, and then picks up another bowl so she can't give that one back.

Eat the whole thing. ]
