On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

[ first of all, axelea was Assaulted by kaoru so he's wearing actual pants and also, like, the rest of that outfit too, just without the tie. AND, to top it off, his hair is in a braid because i am being extremely self-indulgent and ty said kaoru would do it so. there y'all have it. the takeaway here is that normally he's wearing tights or something, honestly.

he listens to the speech while looking pleasant enough, but he does comment at the end of it: ]

"Fates are intermingled", huh...? Well that's ominous.

[ he sounds a bit amused, though.

outside of all that, Lea's mostly mingling around during the festival. you can find him

a) around the face paint, looking a mix of exasperated and nostalgic as he twirls around a paintbrush. which is a normal thing to be doing.

b) with his really stupid looking gummiphone out, apparently "sneakily" taking pictures of the action? "sneakily" because the gummiphone has no mute button and there is a shutter sound on the camera every single time. the dumbass.

or, c) he'll just ask you outright-- ]

Hmmm... yeah, a long time ago. I dunno that it was quite like this, either.

Does the Netherworld even have parties?

[There's a pause as he considers the question]

We have political parties, but those don't come with festivities.

[leaberator]

Yikes. No wonder they call it hell.

[ says the man who has never in his life fucking voted and who mostly hangs out in worlds with monarchies ]

Yep. I figure everyone's dressed to the nines, they might as well get to have a little souvenir of it.

I don't like festivals like this to begin with, so it makes no difference.

[Mary absolutely bounds up to him, unable to hold still. In fact, she's all but already twirling. There is no denying her!]

[ the mental image of this dance is gonna be hilarious, because he is like two feet taller than her.he definitely cannot deny this and just. laughs a bit. ]

Okay, okay! You don't gotta twist my arm over it. [ he does a mock half-bow ] As the little lady commands an' whatnot.

[withsadness]

Hooray!

[Mary laughs and claps her hands together, but with his bow, she returns with a curtsy. She's a professional!]

I'll let you be a gentleman and lead me.

[She offers him a delicate, graceful hand.]

[ the facepainting ... and potluck... is new...

Having the free time ain't too bad.

Celebrations? Yeah. Dances, no. I have never been the type to dance.

[She's agile and has stamina, but she has never been interested in dances]

Then you're already one up on a few of the others. [ is that. good or bad. ] Not your kind of hobby?

Of course not! Can you really imagine me dancing?

[She sure can't imagine it. She even points at herself, like her argument is self-explanatory]

[ the sheer idea of painting a horse is hilarious which is why he iMMEDIATELY agrees to it: ]
