On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

I think... blue is nice?

[ she points at one of the lighter blues. ]

Blue it is!

[He picks up the little jar of paint and a brush.]

What kind of design do you want?

[whitewalls]

Um... surprise me. Whatever you like best.

[ she's normally the artistic one where she's from so

someone else doing it is nice. ]

[yokeye]

Okay~! Hold still!

[He's not terrible with art, but also not impressive. He dips the brush in the paint, clearing the excess off on the rim of the jar. Biting his lip, he concentrates on drawing a butterfly on her cheekbone. However, he's blind in one eye and has no depth perception and it's probably going to be a bit messy and not look like a butterfly at all when he's done; if he doesn't poke her in the eye before he finishes.]

[ it's fine, in another thread she's eating fish blood so toki messing up with paint is the least terrible thing to happen to her at this party. ]

Is it okay?

[yokeye]

[Toki pulls back to examine his work.]

Hmm.

[It's... kind of... a butterfly? It has wings.]

It looks great~! Very pretty!

[whitewalls]

[ oh.....

naminé smiles brightly at him. ]

Do you want one too?

[yokeye]

Sure! you can pick what you want too! Surprise me~!

[whitewalls]

Is there a color you want?

[ since she picked her own. ]

[yokeye]

Hmm...

[He studies the paints for a minute. It's a hard choice.]

Orange!

[whitewalls]

Alright.

[ she'll reach for the orange, as well as a brush.

and then she has to sit and think about what to paint on him..... ]

[yokeye]

Can't come up with anything?

[Which is fine.]

Do you want to dance instead?

[whitewalls]

We can, but... hold on.

[ she'll bring the brush over and will start painting something on his cheek.

it's a star. ]

[yokeye]

How does it look?

[He doesn't even know what it is, but...]

[whitewalls]

It's cute.

[ she doesn't usually work with paint but, it's a star! and it's nice!

she nods her head, to affirm it. ]

[yokeye]

[Cute is good.]

So are you.

[He smiles and holds his hand out to her. Dancing is next, apparently.]

[whitewalls]

[ her face goes red at the compliment because. what even is flirting, she doesn't know

but she'll still take his hand anyway. ]

[yokeye]

[She's even cuter when she blushes. He leads her out to wherever the dancing is.]

Have you decided when to gather everyone together?

[It probably hasn't been long enough for everyone to calm down, but you never know.]

[whitewalls]

Maybe this weekend? It'll at least be a week since we've been here by then.

[ this will be funny because technically they will all gather together this weekend

they just don't know it yet ]

[yokeye]

That sounds good!

[Plans that will never come to fruition.]

[whitewalls]

It'll probably be easier to just put up signs instead of trying to find everyone to tell individually.

[ and they can just put it at all of the buildings, so everyone can see them. ]

[yokeye]

That's a good point! I didn't read all of the scrolls, and we'd probably miss somebody!

[He's not sure how many people are actually here. He should maybe pay more attention.]

[whitewalls]

Mm. It seems like there's around thirty of us? Maybe a little more...

[ she shakes her head. ]

Well, we can figure it out.

[yokeye]

Yeah.

[Toki nods. They don't really have to worry about it right now. Tonight is for fun.]

Do you know how to dance?

[ people seem to either do or either don't ]
