On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

she points at the mochi ]

[cyclists]

…we should have ice cream next time. [They can try it together. It would be now, but there's mochi and Sol reaches forward with a hand to pick up a piece.]

It's kinda squishy. [That hand also disappears into their hood as they take a bite.] …try it, it's good. It tastes like fruit but kinda grainy.

[whitewalls]

We should.

[ since axel and xion won't because they're RUDE

but she'll take a piece as well, slowly taking a bite. ]

I like it.

[cyclists]

Whenever you want. I know where to get it. [Let Naminé have ice cream!!!]

It's good, right? Even if it's chewy. [Still sounds pretty happy though.] Look, there's different colors. They're probably other flavors.

[whitewalls]

Alright, then...

[ she picks up another one. it's pink. ]

Guess what this might taste like?

[cyclists]

It's pink...[Yes, thank you Sol.] ...strawberry or cherry maybe?

[whitewalls]

Hmm...

[ she'll pop it into her mouth

[Grabbing a green one...]

Mint. I don't even know where these came from.

[whitewalls]

I guess one of the others brought them? I wish I knew who.

[ so tell them good job

but she'll watch to see how sol reacts to it ]

We can ask around. They're good, so I don't see why anyone wouldn't claim them. [There's a bite of the mint and soon there's a flinch.]

Strong. [Not bad, but they were not expecting that much.] I wonder if whoever made these will make them again after the party.

[whitewalls]

We can ask. Maybe we can offer to help them, so they're not doing everything on their own.

[ it is a lot of mouths to feed, and she'd feel a little bad just making other people do all of the work... ]

What did it taste like?

[cyclists]

Maybe...I wouldn't mind helping. They taste sort of leaf-y? But not really. Or like Christmas.

[whitewalls]

Like Christmas...

[ she can't really imagine that? so she'll reach out to grab the same kind he did and takes a bit, and--

now she gets it. ]

[cyclists]

See? [Enthused! It's the only way to describe it.] I don't know what else to call it, but they're really good. [...] We should leave some for everyone else, but I want to take some back with me.

[whitewalls]

You should. I don't think people will mind... they're here for us to enjoy, after all.

[ and sol's excitement is rather adorable, so of course she's going to encourage it. ]

[cyclists]

You think? [Hm..] How long do you think they'll stay good? [Does mochi expire? Also then they can take some to share with Naminé later. Is their friendship going to be built on food? Maybe.]

[whitewalls]

Oh... I'm not sure.

[ she has no idea what it's made of. naminé taps her chin thoughtfully. ]

Maybe we can put it somewhere cold, just in case?

[cyclists]

There's a freezer in the kitchen. If we put them in a box and write our names on it, we can keep them safe. [And just bring them out whenever.]

[whitewalls]

Okay, let's do that then.

[ they've discovered leftovers ]

I wonder what else is good?

[cyclists]

Hm...[Proud of them. But Sol's busy turning their head and pointing at these cute things.]

Someone went through a lot to make these, so maybe we should try them. [This is not a dessert.]

[whitewalls]

Oh! They're... penguins?

[ she goes to grab one of them. ]

Want to try it at the same tiem?

[cyclists]

Yeah. [And with a penguin in-hand, it disappears into the hood.] Ready? One, two three.

[Glad this is what they're doing. Trying rice penguins.]

[whitewalls]

[ this is such a pure thread in comparison to whatever the fuck hisoka and lili are doing. anyway.

at the count of three, she'll take a bite of the penguin. ]

... it's good.

[cyclists]

[Me, turning a blind eye: ah yes look at these two cutes instead of whatever is happening elsewhere. But Sol's chewing instead.]

It's simple, but they look kinda cute. [Kinda is an understatement.] Maybe we have more cooks here than I thought.
