week two: mingle
Week Two
26 in Competition
26 in Competition
As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.
Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.
As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.
"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. The land might appear a bit familiar to some however... I only advise you watch your step."
When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.
"The corruption is still out there, and we're going to do all that we can to find a way to contain it. But until then... stick close to others this week. Do your best to protect yourselves and look after each other. Okay?"
The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.
The only oddity is that throughout the week, in a noise that extends past the portal but seems to resound even through the village, there will be the occasional, resounding call of a war horn.
In addition, as the week goes on, partners will find ever-growing feelings of anxiety and nervousness dwelling within them the longer they are separated from one another. They will feel compelled to be very close to their partners at all times, and will be on edge if separated for more than an hour by the end of the week. Welcome to surprise codependence at its finest.

Welcome to your week two mingle! As a reminder, murder proposals are open. We will also be hosting a mini-event on Tuesday, so please be on the lookout for that.
In addition, ensure that all of your week one private conversations were reported on the page, and your week two private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

[ things are pretty nuts out here!!! you may be getting overwhelmed by the amount of narutos coming at you, maybe you're in trouble, or maybe you're having the time of your life. either way, you hear a loud roar of: ]
MOVE ASIDE!
[ -- as this fuck comes blazing through, one hand clutching a giant claymore. he's cutting through the narutos, using the flat of the blade to sweep them right off their feet bc he's a disney character ]
[ ok jk there will probably be real violence ]
[ anyway, he just took care of the problem!! you're welcome!!! maybe get out of his way, he's acting a little like a... lunatic.. ;) right now ]
village;
[ to those of you who are injured, saix is one of you!!! his arm is clearly burned, but he doesn't seem to care. in his other hand, he has a first aid kit... he approaches you, looming dispassionately. he's going to murder you with it!! just kidding. he puts the kit down next to you. ]
Take care of that.
[ or he will..... maybe. ]
xion;
[ poor xion...... first her eye gets fucked up, and then she is forced to see saix with her one functioning eye. she did nothing to deserve that. saix takes one look at her, opens the first aid kit with his good arm, then pulls out some gauze. ]
We need to stop the bleeding.
[ wtf is this ]
no subject
but she's aware enough to know that voice, especially paired with that blue hair, even if she fleetingly wonders if she's hallucinating. ]
. . . Saix?
no subject
[ in case she didn't believe it, which, frankly, fair. he's bending down to get a better look at it, frowning. ]
[ well, frowning is his default emotion, but it's like, slightly more displeased. ]
You should stay still.
no subject
even having done that, though, she's still having a little trouble grasping the current situation. keeping the rest of her head still, she incredulously asks, ]
You're... helping me?
[ it literally is that hard to believe, ]
no subject
My hand slipped.
[ very smooth. ]
[ anyway he's going to open his first aid kit and get some gauze. ]
Can you hold this over your eye?
[ while he tries to find something to clean the wound a bit so it doesn't get infected ]
no subject
only slightly, though, because this doesn't exactly undo what he's done to her in the past. but she's also not a complete asshole, so she offers a quiet, reserved, ]
. . . Thank you.
no subject
[ he could say literally anything. but he's fucking saix, and he's not dying, so that's not going to happen. he meets her eye briefly, then continues dressing the wound. ]
[ he finally speaks up: ]
Axel will be concerned. You should go see him, after this.
no subject
she sits still as he works, still half convinced this is a trap... but that suspicion fades when he namedrops axel. instead, it's replaced by guilt, and she instinctively looks away from him with her remaining eye. ]
... He'll be upset that I got hurt at all. I don't want him to get mad.
no subject
It's not something you can hide.
[ just saying, he'll find out eventually!! ]
And you were not the only one.
[ if you squint, this might be saix's attempt at being reassuring. maybe. ]
no subject
. . .
[ she deflates a little after he responds, because she really has no comeback to that when he's right. she briefly bites her lip for a couple of seconds out of her usual stubbornness before her face relaxes once again. ]
no subject
He won't be angry with you.
[ that's like, the nicest thing he's ever going to say, so just take it, xion.... ]
no subject
... Saix...
[ ... there are so many things she wants to ask. the main one, currently, is what had happened during the period of time between the points they'd been pulled from, as lea had explained? had he really had a change of heart, figuratively or literally?
. . . she decides she'll save those questions for a time when he isn't helping scoop her dead eye out of her head, maybe. ]
no subject
[ saix opts not to say anything more, because he's saix and he was already being borderline nice. he finishes patching up the eye. ]
Any other injuries?
