Week Seven
13 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

[ I don't know Digimon, how fragile are Digimon eggs, will it crack if Minato doesn't look where he's going and trips over one hidden in the tall grass and immediately fall flat on his face? ]

[ He doesn't kick the egg, he's just too busy staring adoringly into Naminé's eyes and trips and eats dirt ]

[ i'm going to kick your ass

but she squeaks in surprise ]

Minato?!

[ I don't ask rhetorical questions. ]

Second time this week I tripped and fell because of a rock... I'm okay, though. We should get rid of that before somebody else falls, though.

[whitewalls]

That's-- oh!

[ minato noooo

she goes to grab it ]

It's an egg.

[ Don't be fooled, Naminé, it's a rock and Minato's going to destroy it in petty revenge. ]

Cool. Well, we can find a nest up in a tree and put it back. Gotta find the babies.

[whitewalls]

This might be a baby.

It's a big egg.

[compendiem]

...Maybe it's an egg, but it's very clearly not a baby.

[ It's not soft, pink, and screaming, and therefore it's not a baby. ]

[whitewalls]

[ she is holding the egg. ]

Let's bring it with us while we keep looking.

[ What a pain... But as long as it's Naminé being inconvenienced and not him, she can do with it as she wants. ]

Can you hold the egg with one hand? I still want your other...

[ she moves it to just one arm ]

Yeah. Let's go.

[ Yay... Minato plucks another blade of grass off the ground so they can hold it together, then goes to staring at the ground so he doesn't trip on anymore rocks/eggs/babies. ]

...What are we supposed to do with the babies after we find them? Sacrifice?

[whitewalls]

No. We bring them back to the nursery.

[ she's pretending he didn't say the last thing ]

Huh. Too bad.

[ He SUPPOSES that would be the right thing to do, but it doesn't explain at all why all the dead people are here to help. It could have at least been some satanic ritual to bring the dead back to life. ]

You've gotten much better at using your magic now, right? Maybe you can make the grass groww and lift up any hiding babies?

[ or monsters or whatever ]

[whitewalls]

Oh. Hm... alright, I can give it a try.

[ ... ]

Or I can make the grass get smaller?

[compendiem]

That would be killing the grass. You can't do that.

[ Says Minato plucking grass straight off the ground. ]

[whitewalls]

[ that logic doesn't sound right but she doesn't care enough to argue ]

Make sure to grab any if you spot them.

Yep. You flush them out, and I'll grab them.

[whitewalls]

[ and she'll give it a try

but, yes, she's much better at her powers now, so the grass very easily starts to grow. ]

[compendiem]

[ Cool. The grass grows and grows and soon it's like chin high and Minato can't see shit but there are no screaming babies far as he can see. Just a lot of evil looking tomatoes looking agitated for being disturbed and dropping back down onto the ground to roll their way. ]

Don't see anything yet.
