On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

It's interesting. Everyone looks so fancy.

[ she is fascinated by the most mundane things. ]

Did you prepare all of this?

[cyclists]

They really do...[Says Sol, who is stuck in their white cloak but eyeballing everyone from under their hood. It's fine. But there's a nod.] I've never been to something like this before, but Lune and I thought it'd be a good idea for everyone. It feels normal.

[whitewalls]

It does. People seem to be having a good time.

[ and then there's kara who is probably going to fight the npcs but it's fine ]

[cyclists]

Yeah. The music's nice, too. It's better than the silence this place used to have. [Sol will meet Kara in the pit later, it's fine. But there's noticeable pause.]

For what? [They don't get it.]

[whitewalls]

For giving us a party. You guys really didn't have to.

[ it's not like any of them asked for something like this ]

[cyclists]

Oh. [They rub the back of their head, slightly embarrassed now.] It's fine. You guys didn't ask to come here, and we're still missing a ton of answers. It's the least we can do to make everybody a little more comfortable.

[whitewalls]

I think a lot of us appreciate it still.

[ .... she won't say all of them but

some of them do. ]

[cyclists]

Then...I'm glad. [It means something went right and that's a relief.] Have you tried any of the food? Lune and I weren't sure what to bring so we gave a lot of options.

[Because that's what you do at celebrations and with friends. You eat and spend time together.]

[whitewalls]

Not yet.

[ she looks over at the table, then back to sol. ]

Would you like to join me?

[cyclists]

Okay. [There's another nod and they begin to walk, not too fast so she can keep up but with purpose.] I don't even know what to try first.

[whitewalls]

What do you usually like to eat?

[ it might be easier if they have favorites

she'd probably just pick randomly. ]

[cyclists]

[Food? There's a hum of thought.]

I'm not picky. But sweets are pretty okay.

[whitewalls]

Then let's get dessert.

[ goodbye real food ]

[cyclists]

[Who the fuck needs real food? Sol stops at the table with Naminé, eying the treats in front of them.]

What's your favorite? I didn't ask.

[whitewalls]

I'm not sure. I heard ice cream's good.

[ NOT LIKE ANYONE HAS OFFERED IT TO HER but anyway

she points at the mochi ]

What's that?

[cyclists]

…we should have ice cream next time. [They can try it together. It would be now, but there's mochi and Sol reaches forward with a hand to pick up a piece.]

It's kinda squishy. [That hand also disappears into their hood as they take a bite.] …try it, it's good. It tastes like fruit but kinda grainy.

[whitewalls]

We should.

[ since axel and xion won't because they're RUDE

but she'll take a piece as well, slowly taking a bite. ]

I like it.

[cyclists]

Whenever you want. I know where to get it. [Let Naminé have ice cream!!!]

It's good, right? Even if it's chewy. [Still sounds pretty happy though.] Look, there's different colors. They're probably other flavors.

[whitewalls]

Alright, then...

[ she picks up another one. it's pink. ]

Guess what this might taste like?

[cyclists]

It's pink...[Yes, thank you Sol.] ...strawberry or cherry maybe?

[whitewalls]

Hmm...

[ she'll pop it into her mouth

and chews


hm ]

[cyclists]

[Grabbing a green one...]

Mint. I don't even know where these came from.

[whitewalls]

I guess one of the others brought them? I wish I knew who.

[ so tell them good job

but she'll watch to see how sol reacts to it ]

[cyclists]

We can ask around. They're good, so I don't see why anyone wouldn't claim them. [There's a bite of the mint and soon there's a flinch.]

Strong. [Not bad, but they were not expecting that much.] I wonder if whoever made these will make them again after the party.

[whitewalls]

We can ask. Maybe we can offer to help them, so they're not doing everything on their own.

[ it is a lot of mouths to feed, and she'd feel a little bad just making other people do all of the work... ]
