On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

so she'll scoop some up and will go to eat it. ]

[ She absolutely can and should back out, but it looks like they're in this together. It tastes... like blood. Not as strong as fresh blood, and it's a very soft curd that falls apart easily. A slightly metallic taste. Your teeth stick together a little when you chew. ]

[whitewalls]

[ ah, yes.

this is horrible.

but she continues to chew, because it's polite, even thought her facial expression is betraying her. ]

[ Chew and swallow, Naminé.

Minato does, and takes a second spoonful of the pudding, waiting for Naminé to do the day. They're going to finish their servings together, except Naminé has like twice as much. ]

[whitewalls]

[ THIS IS SUCH A BAD THREAD

but seeing that minato took a second spoonful, she'll do the same.

this is just her life now. ]

[compendiem]

[ I KNOW AND I'M SORRY at least it's properly cooked, and blood is part of the normal diet in some cultures, and Minato is eating with her in solidarity so if they die, they die together.

A third spoonful. ]

I have never had anything like it.

[ it's slightly hard to talk comfortably because it's getting stuck to her teeth.

It's an experience, isn't it?

[ Good or bad... doesn't matter. New experiences are what Minato likes best, to break the monotony of the day to day. But after about the third spoonful, he's had enough of this experience and reaches for the curry. Something strong to offset the taste. He scoops curry over his blood pudding, but Naminé probably doesn't have enough space in her bowl yet, so Minato doesn't offer her any. ]

There's a good mix of things here. Familiar and unfamiliar. What're you enjoying so far?

[ guess she'll just keep eating this fish blood then.

at least she's getting used to the taste, which isn't really a good thing, but here we are. ]

I just like seeing everyone interact. There haven't been a lot of times where all of us have been gathered together like this.

[compendiem]

[ It's not a good thing, but Minato looks rather pleased that somebody else is eating his """food""" and he looks a lot fonder too, as he listens to her. ]

Yeah, this sorta thing is nice to see. I was talking with somebody else before, actually— what do you think of everybody getting together for meals every day? Is that something you'd be interested in doing?

[ Minato will not be the one cooking, if that makes things any better. ]

[whitewalls]

... I think I'd like that.

[ chatting while eating is making this easier, since she's just going to concentrate more on what's being said than minato's cooking. ]

I didn't really get to spend time with a lot of people before I came here, so getting the opportunity has been nice.

[compendiem]

[ ...This few number of people doesn't feel like a lot, compared to the large bustling city Minato came from, but the opportunity to spend time with people are is time he treasures as well. He won't ever forget Naminé eating fish blood. ]

Some good things came out of being here, huh? Climbing mountains... fishing... learning how to cook... Meeting lots of new people. And it's only been a few days.

I hope the rest of our time here is enjoyable...

[ she's not too sure about that, because there's still things that are too strange to ignore. but... it doesn't have to be all bad, even if bad things might happen. ]

Are you feeling better, by the way?

[compendiem]

[ He pauses for a second, because he always feels like he'd just gotten run over by a train, but comparatively... ]

Yep. All better. Nothing a night's sleep couldn't fix. What about you? Too sore to dance, or do you want to...?

[whitewalls]

I feel better, too. We didn't hit it as much as we could have, I guess.

[ THEY STILL HIT THE GATE PRETTY DAMN HARD ]

... we can dance.

[ please get her away from this pudding ]

[compendiem]

[ They must've hit the gate so hard they broke some nerves and now they can't feel anything. That'll be useful.

Especially if they're going to dance and one or the other will get their foot stepped on at one point. Still preferable to finishing the pudding, so Minato— tempted to pour his food back on the serving platters so it doesn't go to waste- instead grabs some plastic wrap to cover his food and he'll be back for it later.

Naminé can do what she wants with her blood, she's suffered enough. ]

[ she'll just set it aside for now. she'll probably throw it out when minato isn't looking, it's fine, it's all good.

but then she'll turn towards him. ]

Let's go?

[ to injure themselves further ]

[ She should throw the entire platter out and save everybody else.

But yeah, let's go. Minato holds his hand out, expectantly. ]

[whitewalls]

[ and she will take his hand

it's fine, this thread is less bad now. ]

[ Good, Naminé deserves good threads, not with Minato because he takes her hand and leads her to the dance floor and then lets go when they get there, to stick both hands into his pants pocket and proceed to do his weird shuffle step dance. By himself. ]

[ Just do what he does. He's just assuming she doesn't know how to dance. (neither does he) ]

there's another moment of pause before she. slowly starts shuffling like he is. ]
