As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Lune who speaks up first this time.

"Good morning, good morning. You've done well to purge the corruption in the previous gateway - allow us to assist with the finishing touches. For the time being, it would appear as though we've been able to locate another. I would not grow complacent, but I also wonder if you all might enjoy the surprise."

When Lune finishes, Sol chimes in from their place at Lune's side.

"Maybe we can have another week like the last. It'd be nice, wouldn't it? Good luck out there."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will begin to see odd mirages and hear voices calling for them. Even though they might not realize it, these phantoms that will be haunting them will be their partner's most important person, calling for them to come home. Partners will only be able to see each other's illusions if they make physical contact.

[ She takes a full step back. ]

You named a cat after him?

[ She says him like it's a curse. ]

[ Minato picks Hisoka up and plants a kiss on his furry head. ]

Doesn't he look like a Hisoka?

[ every tag where minato shows he loves hisoka is CURSED

Four looks aghast. ]

Absolutely not. That poor cat.

[compendiem]

[ The cat yowls and Minato lets it go— he just sort of drops it from chest high- it lands on its feet and swipes its claws at his ankles. ]

It's a common enough name. It means "secret." Cats are sorta like that, right?

[forefall]

Secretive?

[ She watches the cat attack Minato for a moment and decides that the cat is justified. ]

I don't know. That cat seems to be telling you exactly what it thinks.

[compendiem]

[ They're secretive just by default! Minato crouches down and gets a swipe at his hand for his troubles- his hand is an angry red and his nose is starting to run already but he attempts to pet the cat's head anyways. It's having none of that. ]

That it's hungry? I was going to take Hisoka over to the koi pond.

[forefall]

... the koi pond. Is the food in the kitchen not sufficient?

[ ie. wouldn't that be easier for the cat? ]

[compendiem]

...I thought cats would like live prey.

[ it would be tastier for the cat, and maybe it can burn off some excess energy and stop trying to eat Minato's fingers ]

[forefall]

... Will you bathe the cat after?

[ She feels this isn't going to end well, but she can't... say it's wrong? Cats are predators, domesticated or not. ]

[compendiem]

[ ... He looks at Four as if this were a trick question. ]

No, because I don't want to die...?

[ said hesitantly, because is this the right answer? He's pretty sure the cat will claw him to death if he tried to throw it in the tub ]

[forefall]

Hm? You think this cat is scarier than anyone or anything else here?

[ She refuses to call the cat by the name Minato gave it. ]

[compendiem]

Yeah. I don't want to make Hisoka mad.

[ Minato picks the cat up so Four can look at its face; the cat yowls and claws Minato on the chin and so he lets it go. ]

[forefall]

[ She sighs and kneels to pick up Hisoka. She cheats and uses her power to soothe the cat, so she's not attacked. ]

I don't think you've found out what will make it happy yet.

[compendiem]

[ Minato lets the blood bead and drip off his chin without bothering to wipe it off, so he doesn't get hand bacteria into the wound. ]

Yeah... I'm working on that. I was going to try the koi next.

[forefall]

[ She sighs and fishes out a handkerchief from somewhere, offering it to him, around the squirming cat in her arms. ]

All right. I'll escort you two there.

[ For both their sakes. ]

[compendiem]

...Alright. Thanks.

[ Minato takes the handkerchief and puts it in his bag without wiping off the blood. ]

[forefall]

[ SHE DIDN'T THINK THE HANDKERCHIEF NEEDED TO BE EXPLAINED. WHY IS MINATO LIKE THIS

... ]

I don't understand how you think sometimes.

[compendiem]

[ He knows what he's doing, okay. ]

That's normal, I think. Everybody's different.

[forefall]

[ does he.... ]

No, I know that, but usually, people aren't quite as... mystifying as you are.

[compendiem]

[ Unfortunately, yes ]

...I thought I was always straightforward about things... What's mystifying?

[forefall]

What isn't?

[ Liking Hisoka the clown enough to name a cat after him is THE NUMBER ONE mystifying thing for Four. Outside his behavior. ]

Sometimes, you say things that are touching, and then in the next second, you say something that makes me question your well-being.

[compendiem]

[ Minato literally can't understand why people don't like Hisoka and it's very unfortunate. He also can't really tell what he says that's touching, and he could be standing here doing nothing and people question his well-being. ]

.......maybe it's me who's mystified by everything. I don't notice that at all.

[forefall]

It may be both, and it... doesn't make for the easiest combination.

[ She gets emotional whiplash. ]

I don't... [ Hm. Never mind that thought. ]

[compendiem]

You don't... what?

[ He was going to guess, but if she doesn't understand heck all anything he's thinking and he doesn't understand heck all anything she's thinking, what, really, is the point ]

[forefall]

I don't know if I want your self-awareness of the former to rise, but I do want your self-awareness of the latter to.

[ That is, she wrote him a self-help book and he's kind of following it? That's good.

If he knew the right words to say to her.... that would. Probably be bad. ]
