Week Seven
13 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

Yeah, that's kinda what I was talking about. [ minato is doing his best ] There's some monsters and eggs...?

[ Minato's been educating the KHs, it's Axel's turn. ]

Monsters are cool and eggs are delicious. I wouldn't mind helping out with that.

[leaberator]

I don't think you should eat the eggs, but that's the spirit.

Are the eggs still occupied?

[leaberator]

If you mean they've got babies in 'em, yes.

[ god let that be what occupied means ]

Um... Yeah, that's what I meant. So we're babysitting?

[leaberator]

Baby rescuing, I think. And fighting monsters.

[compendiem]

The monsters are going to attack us for stealing their children... If you die, it's fair.

[leaberator]

No, they're the ones who took the kids.

[compendiem]

Animals do that... They have to eat to survive too.

[leaberator]

[ god. he's the worst. axel's laughing ]

Yeah, but in this instance, we're saving the eggs for another day. Alright?

[compendiem]

[ Animals will be animals!! Minato will stan the monsters ]

Alright...

[leaberator]

So we're fighting monsters. You good with that?

[compendiem]

I guess if I get to see cool monsters, I'm good with it.

[leaberator]

I'm real proud of ya.

[ but he makes no move to go do it. he's got... time... wow... ]

[compendiem]

[ Minato nods slowly, waiting for Axel to do or say something else but he doesn't ]

...Are the eggs going to die if we just stand here, or can I find a building to ghost through first?

[leaberator]

There's plenty of other people. We've got time. Let's go!

[ he wants to see minato either ghost through or run into a building... ]

[compendiem]

Alright. The kitchen, then. If I can't ghost, at least I can raid the pantries as consolation.

[leaberator]

How much more bread do you need?

[compendiem]

How long are you going to take to save us?

[leaberator]

[ ........ ]

Yeah, let's go raid the kitchen.

[ OFF THEY GO ]

[ he could have given Minato a fake optimistic answer oh my god

but alright, Minato's going to carry back as much bread as he can and be really fucking sad when he just glitches through everything in town. For now, though, Kara is occupied, so Minato's looking forward to seeing the kitchen again and being in there without requiring constant vigilance. ]

I haven't had coffee in a while... Oh. I promised Miki I would eat a vegetable this week, too.

[leaberator]

[ wow he was going for a dramatic reveal!!! once they're in there axel leans on a counter and watches him go. literally. go through stuff and yet hoard items. it's hilarious ]

Sol guessed about two or three more weeks 'til the end, so stock up, alright? We don't need you lamenting your lack of food. [ he makes a face at the veggie thing because he's an adult. ] Get some cucumbers, they're technically vegetables but they don't taste like anything.

[ axel and the cucumber discourse ]

[compendiem]

[ He can't even touch the food? Oh my god, being dead is the worst. He sort of just phases through the refrigerator door and gives Axel a horrified look with his arm halfway through the door. ]

Why...? I'm going to need your help, Axel. But no cucumbers, because they're bitter.

[leaberator]

Bitter...?

[ well, he opens the refrigerator door and gets ready to help minato pick his lunch. or something ]

Okay, so... how about a tomato? There's gotta be something that'll get Miki off your back.
