Week Eight
9 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find three large, swirling masses grey in color looming near the sakura tree. These swirls cannot be approached just yet, but seem to be locked and waiting for something more. Later in the day, if those in the village approach the third mass they will find themselves in a version of their home world. This world is completely void of people, but seems to be just as they last remember it. No darkness will be found in this world as well.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. They don't speak immediately, but wait for all to settle.

[With everyone gathered in the main hall, the two figures known as Sol and Lune stand in front of their chairs at the back of the room. Their cloaks, the white embroidered with a golden sun and the black embroidered with a golden moon, shroud their appearance with the hoods up.

As Sol looks up at Lune, they wait for him to speak first.]

As you had heard last week, it would appear as your numbers have decreased, the two of us have now found our own positions changing. While we are still able to access areas that you cannot - we have freedom in our vulnerability.

[When Lune has finished, Sol gestures back outside toward the masses near the sakura tree.]

There are also two gateways we were able to open this week in addition to the new one. They're different than the others we've opened in the past, but...they're familiar, too. [They pause then.]

With everything changing, we'd like to introduce ourselves properly, I think.

[They seem to glance toward one another then before they move in sync, hands coming up to reach for their hoods:]

[lune's hood falls from his head, and unveiled is the pleasantly smiling expression of an honestly unreasonably beautiful man. for those who haven't seen his face before, his namesake becomes obvious as yellow crescent moons seem to be alight in his eyes as pupils.]

My name is Mikazuki Munechika. 'Mikazuki' itself can mean 'crescent moon', so to be called Lune all this time was rather charming. Even by the little light of a waning moon, I hope that my guidance during our time together has proved fruitful. Ha ha ha.

It's a pleasure to face you all properly. We are in a time of great changes afoot. Splendid, splendid.

Do continue to take care of us.

[AFTER EVERYONE SPENT THE WEEKEND DEPRESSED?]

All the disagreement I have received is making me begin to rethink it...

[but only just barely]

However - even if the change does not initially appear fortunate, that does not mean it is not ultimately good.

And try to be more worried about your own safety, while you're at it. You can't protect Roxas if you're too busy being dead.

I think your word choice's raising some eyebrows, Mikazuki.

[ but he thinks it's fine tbh. waves ]

So it would appear - but I believe even this moment might be a gift, Lea.

[leaberator]

Coming from you, that doesn't surprise me at all. [ he chuckles a bit ] So, you happy you get to show yourself off now?

[ you know, she should say something more meaningful at lune's reveal, but the first thing that comes out of her mouth is ]

[As the hood is lowered, the first thing to be seen is blond hair that's a little spiked and a little messy. Blue eyes blink curiously at those standing before him, and as he looks over the faces of all standing there he keeps his expression fairly neutral. He loosely folds his arms over his chest, but when he speaks there's a note of confidence there that wasn't present in the earlier weeks.]

...you can still call me Sol if you want, but my name is Roxas. Many of you have met with me before, but some of you haven't. I know I haven't always done my best, but hopefully some things have improved since the beginning.

[He bows his head slightly.] There's a lot happening right now, so just stick with us. We'll be okay.

[leaberator]

Hey, at least you didn't spend any of your time here as a zombie.

[ pats roxas's back

Ha. Ha. [He says it flatly, but he's grinning up at him anyway. Hi buddy.] But it still worked out, right? [Validate him please...]

That's been the plan for a while now.

[Hi, gremlin. She's just gonna chill here for a bit.]

So... You said the gateways are familiar to you. How familiar are we talking about, exactly?

[doublebladed]

[Hi North. He at least looks happier to see her, even if he also looks like he hasn't fucking slept.]

Familiar as in...they're home? [Ahah.] How much more familiar can you get?

[ He's not sure if he should feel happy that he was right about Sol being a kid.

Just going to give him a nod to say he'll stick with them. ]

[A grin.] Thanks Feral...we're hoping to get everything figured out as soon as possible now that this has happened.
