Week Eight
9 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find three large, swirling masses grey in color looming near the sakura tree. These swirls cannot be approached just yet, but seem to be locked and waiting for something more. Later in the day, if those in the village approach the third mass they will find themselves in a version of their home world. This world is completely void of people, but seems to be just as they last remember it. No darkness will be found in this world as well.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. They don't speak immediately, but wait for all to settle.

[As the hood is lowered, the first thing to be seen is blond hair that's a little spiked and a little messy. Blue eyes blink curiously at those standing before him, and as he looks over the faces of all standing there he keeps his expression fairly neutral. He loosely folds his arms over his chest, but when he speaks there's a note of confidence there that wasn't present in the earlier weeks.]

...you can still call me Sol if you want, but my name is Roxas. Many of you have met with me before, but some of you haven't. I know I haven't always done my best, but hopefully some things have improved since the beginning.

[He bows his head slightly.] There's a lot happening right now, so just stick with us. We'll be okay.

[leaberator]

Hey, at least you didn't spend any of your time here as a zombie.

[ pats roxas's back

[doublebladed]

Ha. Ha. [He says it flatly, but he's grinning up at him anyway. Hi buddy.] But it still worked out, right? [Validate him please...]

[leaberator]

Obviously. Haven't I been saying so this whole time?

[ validates his son with a hair ruffle ]

[doublebladed]

Not the whole time. [He ducks his head a little at that ruffle but he seems a little more relaxed than the last time. Maybe it's because he's not in a stuffy hood anymore.] ...but fine, most of the time. Maybe you were right.

[leaberator]

"Maybe"? There's no maybe, I'm always right!

[ is he. ]

[doublebladed]

Says who? [But it gets a laugh out of him, so there's that.]

[leaberator]

What, you sayin' you don't believe me?

[televised]

That's been the plan for a while now.

[Hi, gremlin. She's just gonna chill here for a bit.]

So... You said the gateways are familiar to you. How familiar are we talking about, exactly?

[doublebladed]

[Hi North. He at least looks happier to see her, even if he also looks like he hasn't fucking slept.]

Familiar as in...they're home? [Ahah.] How much more familiar can you get?

[papawolf]

[ He's not sure if he should feel happy that he was right about Sol being a kid.

Just going to give him a nod to say he'll stick with them. ]

[A grin.] Thanks Feral...we're hoping to get everything figured out as soon as possible now that this has happened.

[ Writing in his notebook. ]

[ Look he can't do the "I believe in you" that seems lame? ]

[It's fine, he gets it.] I appreciate the vote of confidence.

[ Just going to reach over to give him a head pat. It's the hair it screams pat me. ]

[He accepts it for maybe .5 seconds before he's swiftly dodging out of the way. Only a few people have been chosen to give headpats. Sorry, Feral.]

It's not that weird, is it? [He at first assumes it's because he's a child, then he wonders if it's his hair and then he decides maybe it isn't even that important.]

[papawolf]

[ Shaking his head. ]

Not weird. Reminds me of someone.

We should spar again. It's been a while.

[doublebladed]

[Hewwo. He actually looks a little happy at that idea, why.]

Think you'd be up for it? I haven't found another sparring partner yet.

[ he raises an eyebrow ]

I wouldn't suggest it if I wasn't.

[doublebladed]

[There's a nod toward the gateway.] There's an arena I've fought in before. It's better than where we had our last match.

[unfriendliest]

And there's a dojo in mine.

[ ... ]

We could try both.

[doublebladed]

...dojo? [The fact that he's repeating the word and sounds curious about it is maybe a sign that the dojo should be first.] Pretty sure we have time for both. The training would be good for both of us anyway.

[Kara is a good opponent, and it means giving them something to do.]
