On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

[ it's said firmly, and there's determination in his eyes ]

[ it's amazing how easily ookurikara can get a rise out of the others when he tries

but he gives tsuru his most skeptical look ]

Are you sure you can handle something like that?

[ tsuru's a moron

he nods his head quickly ]

I'll handle it better than anyone else!!

[ he'll hold that stare just one more moment, before: ]

Then show me.

[ he's gonna regret this probably ]

[ he definitely is

tsuru will immediately proceed to quicken the pace, but the glint in his eyes implies that he is planning more than this ]

[ this much, he expected. it's a bit harder to keep up with, but he manages - it's that look in tsuru's eyes that has him both concerned and vaguely curious.

is he actually going to be surprised this time, if he knows tsuru is planning something? stay tuned to find out! ]

[ see, tsuru's plan at the moment is simple

and it's to make it harder to predict that something might happen by delaying it ]

Are you keeping up?

[ kara's still pretty sure he's up to something, but fine. he'll wait. ]

Mm.

[ this is good training, too, he thinks - trying to anticipate tsuru's actions. ]

[ everything seems normal for a bit

until tsuru very suddenly goes to spin kara outwards ]

[unfriendliest]

[ ok he was not as ready for that as he'd hoped

kara stumbles a bit, but manages not to fall, and just turns to stare at tsurumaru, but he doesn't want to let tsuru win just yet, so ]

Is that all?

[ TCH!!!

that's fine, he can still handle this

so he'll just smile ]

Hm? Of course not, Kara-bou!

[unfriendliest]

[ of course not. he rolls his eyes, and steps back in to resume the dance. ]

Then show me.

[ like he has any right to be impatient after starting this ]

[preowned]

[ and they'll start again, just as fast, although tsuru seems to be looking at their feet a lot

hm ]

[unfriendliest]

[ suspicious

he'll have to be careful of his steps, in case tsuru tries to trip him or something. but kara has good reflexes, he's not worried

despite, you know, being slightly drunk. ]

[ this continues for a bit, with tsuru watching their feet dutifully

until, very suddenly, he looks up and attempts to dip kara

apparently the looking down thing was a diversion tactic ]

[unfriendliest]

[ well whatever kara was expecting, it wasn't that

a little dizzy from the sudden change of perspective, he blinks up at tsuru in surprise

guess you win this round, crane ]

Surprised?

[ he already knows the answer, but he asks anyway while smiling ]

[unfriendliest]

[ he just. scowls. ]

Let me up.

[ he doesn't want to admit tsuru won ]

[preowned]

[ the grin turns into something a little softer because it's hard not to be fond when kara is doing things he normally wouldn't

but he also does let him up. ]

[unfriendliest]

[ he feels much better, upright under his power. he feels a little too helpless like that, even if it's just dancing. ]

I'm done.

Already?

[ he visibly deflates. ]

[unfriendliest]

[ ugh ]

Wasn't that enough?

[preowned]

[ he sighs ]

I guess........

[ tsuru isn't even trying to hide his disappointment ]

[unfriendliest]

[ why are you like this

kara heaves a sigh. ]
