On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

[ which is practically like kara saying 'we', in drunk tsuru's eyes ]

[ thus, he needs to dance again, because getting another chance at dancing with ookurikara is

not very high ]

but tsuru can drag him out there i guess ]

[ they definitely have to because we are going to milk as much as we can out of this thread now

but he just continues leading the way, although they're going to have to put their stuff down in a safe spot that no one will try to steal from ]

We'll become even more in sync, which will make battles easier for us!

[ he nods because this suddenly makes perfect sense and he's into it ]

tsuru will set their stuff down, and then wait for kara to do the same before finding an empty spot on the dance floor. ]

[ it's fine, someone will drink the alcohol for them eventually. as soon as he sets everything down, he's following tsuru out onto the dance floor. then he looks at tsuru expectantly. this was his idea so how are we doing this, how are we training ]

give him a second to see how other people are doing this.

after some scientific observing (for like five seconds), tsuru will hold a hand out to him. ]

You need to take it.

[ ookurikara has some vague knowledge of western-style dances, so he just accepts this and takes tsuru's hand without complaint. he has probably taste-tested more of the liquor than he needed to in order for this to happen. ]

Do you know the steps?

[ he's danced with a few people so he has a very general idea? he'd be better if he was less, uh, drunk

but tsuru doesn't see that as a problem. ]

Enough that we shouldn't have too much issue.

[ there's a grin, and he places a hand on kara's waist. ]

Put your other one on my... shoulder?

[ the grin lesses for a second as he thinks about this, but then it's back with a nod. ]

sounds a little awkward, but okay. he gives tsuru a doubtful glance as he does so. ]

And this is going to help us in battle?

It's trickier than it looks! We'll get used to each other's movements.

[ kara is not 100% convinced if this is how they have to start, but... they're already here, so they might as well give it a shot. ]
