On Monday morning, the sun rises on the sleepy village, and when the first ray of light touches the gates at each corner of the village, the previously tightly sealed doors open.

The barriers around the village fall, and leave it entirely open. Each cardinal direction will have a path exiting the village, taking the curious explorers who follow it on an adventure to new territories to be explored. They’ll find that each location that they arrive in appears to be associated with one of the elements. As the Signs had explained the day before, each of the participants in the game possesses an elemental assignment, whether they are aware of it or not.

When they approach the elemental areas, they’ll find themselves more in tune with their new powerset, as if the location invites them to take them out for a spin. The new areas appear to be perfect for training and learning how to use the new skills, or maybe if you’re curious you can discover which of those listed powers you’ve been granted.

Just try not to hurt yourself while you’re out there.

In addition, it seems now that more pieces of the core are being revealed, the river that runs through the village will begin to be dotted with small lanterns floating on the water. Some of them seem to be holding small notes. Try as you might to grab one, they’ll always just barely float out of reach.

Perhaps try sending one yourself and see what results you might get?

Occasionally in the village, you might hear the sound of drums and flutes - is that festival music? - though no matter how you search, you can’t find the source… yet.

[ does it matter though because the juice is about to start boiling, so kara will have to turn his attention to that soon ]

[ he just shrugs

and then takes a sip of the sake. he sets it next to kara on the counter for him to taste once he's not busy. ]

[ one pot is set aside so he can fetch the gelatin and pour it in. it's. a powder? hm. we'll see how this turns out. then it says to let it cool for a bit so he'll just

leave it there after it's all mixed so he can taste the sake. this is much better, he thinks. ]

This one's good.

We can use that!

[ he'll grab two more bottles. one is champagne, and the other is rum. ]

We can see if these might be good too?

[ why did he bring so much ]

Sure.

[ he's still not sure about bubbly liquor but let's see how it goes

in the meantime he'll take the other boiling pot off the stove and mix some gelatin in there, too. then he puts two more pots of juice, both different flavors, where those were so they'll boil next. ]

[ tsuru already knows he likes the champagne, so he'll leave that for kara.

he's going to try the rum though. ]

That's going to turn into the... jee-lo?

[ after doublechecking the recipe for confirmation, ookurikara nods. ]

It just needs to cool.

[ wait ]

...For eight hours?

[ it wasn't supposed to be that long?? ]

What.

[ THAT'S.... SO LONG????? ]

The festival will be over by then! [ UGH. ] Darn...

[ tsuru sighs, running a hand through his hair. ]

I guess we can save it for tomorrow.

Unless we find someone with ice powers...

[ he only knows about lili, but he's not going to ask her. she's kind of a jerk. ]

[ tsuru likes lili but he doesn't know she has ice powers so rip ]

Maybe we can ask back at the party...?

[ that means talking to people. kara makes a face. ]

You can go ahead, if you want. Otherwise we'll have to wait.

[ he'll stay here if tsuru goes to fetch an ice person though ]

[ he's considering...

and then he points at the champagne and rum. ]

Try it.

[ he wants to see kara's reaction first ]

[ well he's certainly not going to try both at once, so he grabs the champagne and tips it back for a sip.

and - coughs a little. that's what he meant by "bubbly?" ]

It feels weird going down.

[ he doesn't mind the taste though...? ]

It's bubbly, right?! I wonder how it does that... it makes it feel so different.

[ he just stares intently at the champagne bottle for a moment, like it'll give him its secrets

he is very clearly wobbling on the edge of tipsy and drunk ]

[ kara isn't going to answer because he, too, is staring intently at the champagne bottle

and at the pots of juice

and back at the champagne ]

Will it work for this...?

[ he's more talking to himself than asking tsuru. the flavors would be fine, he thinks? but how does bubbly = jiggly treat ]

... we can put it in some of them!

[ so that way it won't be too disastrous when/if it fails. ]

It seems like it'll be a surprising combination.

Only if it stays bubbly.

[ buuuut since they're still waiting, he supposes he'll go ahead and try the rum. ]

...I like this one.

[ why does he sound so proud he didn't invent rum ]

I'm going to go see if I can find an ice person!

[ ...... he's going to take another one of the already made jello shots with him ]

Yeah.

[ good luck with that tsuru, he'll just be here

gradually pouring vodka into the first pot of juice and taste testing as he goes

forget about what he was supposed to do once he's back at the party

he returns eventually, with more jello shots. ]

[ tsuru is drunk ]

[ tbf kara is getting a bit tipsy from taste-testing all these future jello shots. he's on the pot by the time tsuru gets back, just adding another spoonful of rum.

...and he notices that tsuru is. alone. ]

You didn't find anyone?
