Week Four

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"We've been asked to open another gateway for you guys, but...it's funny. It sort of feels like things have calmed down. The corruption's temporarily evened out and the universe is stabilized for now, but that doesn't mean we should stop looking. Take a look and see what you can find on the other side. You might even get to learn something new."

When Sol finishes, they turn to face Lune, allowing for the other to speak for themselves.

"A bit of reprieve of welcome, isn't it? Please take this time to recover, even as you make steps forward to continue your good work. Thank you, thank you."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, partners will be able to hear each other's thoughts whenever they look at one another! They may not hear every single thought that occurs, but the link will partners to hear thoughts as though their partner is speaking out loud. The more private the thought, the more likely the partner will pick up on it.



Welcome to your week three mingle! As a reminder, this is break week! This means no murders and no trial! Your normal schedule will resume next week. We will still be hosting a laid-back mini-event on Tuesday, however.

In addition, ensure that all of your week three private conversations were reported on the page, and your week four private conversations are reported on that page. If you'll be taking anything from locations, please report that as well.

[ This is nice? Cool, Minato's the first one in the hall only because he hasn't left the hall in the past 48 hours, lying on the ground with blankets that aren't his, but it's nice? To just lie around and do nothing, on the wrong side of the gate.

For most of the week he'll be right here """taking care of himself""" like people keep begging him to do aka deadass asleep the entire time. ]

[ If he gets up for anything, it's when he sees Kara enter the gateway, which means the kitchen is not guarded, which means Minato can get up and risk sneaking in there for half an hour at a time. He'd promised to make people several things and it's hard with a gatekeeper who would not hesitate to cut him down. ]

[ On the rare occasion Minato is actually inside the gateway, he can be found:
- asleep in one of the boats, just sort of drifting back and forth across the lake as the boat shuttles people across and he refuses to get out
- asleep on one of the moving staircases, curled up in one corner so nobody steps on him but also refuses to get up because maybe he wants to go up? or down? he's undecided and will sleep on it
- asleep in one of the classrooms, head down on his arms folded on the desk; this position is terrible for his back but it's the most familiar and most comfortable for him, do not disturb
- asleep in the common room on a squashy chair pulled right up in front of the fireplace so he can hog the heat and warm his back and zzzzz
- asleep on the train and hopefully he's not left here at the end of the week and everything goes poof with him in it ]

[ He sure is there!

He also sure is asleep, lying on the floor so that technically there's still room for four people? two of them just won't have leg room and will have to put their feet up on the bench. ]

[ she is going to try to not get in his way then

but she will give his head a pat as she sits down ]

[ He stirs somewhat when Naminé pats his head, ducking his head a little without opening his eyes and— good thing, because the boat jumps a little on the wave and comes crashing back down, water spilling into the boat and drenching Naminé's feet and the left side of Minato's body.

Cold. ]

[shess can't deny that he's a little amused by minato sneaking into the kitchen. he stops by the entrance, and through his tablet:]

I won't tell.

[ Shess is objectively the best? Minato smiles a little at the promise, dipping his head a little in thanks and then goes back to staring at the cupboard.

There are five jars of white powder.

None of them are labeled.

Maybe if he stares long enough he can figure out what's what. ]

[ Akane stops by the check on him periodically but at this point she's figured out that there's not much she can do to make him less of a weirdo. At least she doesn't seem to... Mind?? Sure.

This time she crouches down next to him and sets down a little wood carving of... A button quail. ]

For you!

[ Okay, she's ready to be praised! ]

[compendiem]

[ Most of the time Minato's asleep, he just stays asleep under the impression that nobody needs him or will just drop a blanket or ice cream on top of him as they see fit and be on their way, but he does stir when he hears Akane's voice, soft smile on his face when he sees that it's her, and then... he sees the button quail and it's cute and makes him sad at the same time, but the warmth and heaviness in his chest is sort of the same feeling, one he can't decide what to call it.

Akane's praise comes in the form of an awkward sleepy head pat, somewhat fumbling because he's got to sit up a little to reach her head and he's not awake enough for that yet. ]

[ She laughs. She is pleased with the head pat! ]

... Have you eaten, today?

[ This moving staircase is not for sleeping, and if Four isn't mistaken, she's only seen Minato sleep.... in other places.

She frowns. ]

Minato, have you kept up with your hygiene?

[compendiem]

[ Oh my god, why is this what people dunk on him with first thing?? He really doesn't want to open his eyes, but Four currently ranks second on his list of The Scariest People In Subdivided, so he forces himself to open his eyes, not quite meeting Four's.

He can't, because he just sort of shrugs. He got lake water on him this morning? He makes sure to brush his teeth. That should sort of count. ]

[ who is first on his list

She hasn't done much to him? If he weren't sleeping all over place, she wouldn't have to dunk on him. However, his lackadaisical response is more than answer enough. ]

Get up. I've only seen you sleeping.

Couldn't get enough of the blood pudding?

[It's teasing, as she enters in and looks his way.]

[ Funny Emma should bring up the blood pudding; did she try any last week? is Minato going to have to make it a third time so she can finally get a taste?

These are questions that are going to have to be left unsaid, because Minato just sort of smiles and shakes his head.

There is a container of flour on the counter, thanks to Shess. This is apparently all the progress he's made with whatever he's trying to do. ]

[ huh. that's a weird life choice, but it's also not surprising because minato.

still going to prod him with the toe of his boot. ] Hey, you shouldn't sleep on the ground.

[ Minato mumbles something under his breath that is the most noise anybody's gotten out of him this entire week, but doesn't get up or answer properly; he just curls in on himself so that if Squall prods him with his boot again, he'll get Minato's arms or legs instead of a squishy stomach. ]

[ axel is walking up a staircase and nearly fucking trips on minato. instead, he stops himself just in time, wibbly wobbling his arms around because there are no handrails or child safety in pigfarts, and ... stares ]

... Really? Here?

[ on stairs? ]

[ Minato stirs, looking up at Axel for a moment before nodding.

I was going to spare you from charades but you made me read pigfarts so now they're going to play charades.

He raises a hand and holds it flat in front of him, makes a fist with it, and brings it briefly to his chest before letting his hand drop. ]
