Week Seven
13 in Competition

As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.

Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.

As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.

"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."

When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.

"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."

The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.

In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

[ It didn't even have to be meant for him, Minato just assumes the bread is his and comes wandering over, munching on his bread and sitting on the ground with his back still halfway in the portal. Having all four working limbs is great.

If anybody wants to go digimon hunting, Minato will agree easily enough, otherwise he's just hanging around at the portals. ]

[ He brightens up immediately, seeing that it's Naminé, giving her both a smile and a nod before pointing at her? Did she make it? Or is this kitchen bread? ]

... oh! I made it. Sorry if it isn't any good, but I've been practicing.

[ HE CAN'T TALK WITH HIS MOUTH FULL, THAT'S RUDE

Especially when he chews and swallows and immediately takes another bite without giving himself a chance to speak in between then, but he shakes his head and waves for her to sit down next to him, before offering her half the bread. ]

[ oh. she'll take the offered half, and then she settles down next to him.

they can eat bread in peace. ]

[ he stops next to Minato. he can't even pRETEND he's not happy to see him ]

You couldn't even wait long enough to be fully on this side to eat?

[ Axel's another who gets a smile out of Minato when he reluctantly lifts his eyes up from his bread to look at him. And since it's Axel and not Naminé I guess he can talk with his mouth full. ]

Nope.

[ he grins right back. kid!!! ]

Speaking through chewing on top of it? Someone's makin' himself at home on that doorway. [ -- wait oh my god does this count as spoilers he doesn't care he has to ask-- ] "Universe-1s"? What's that about?

[ He definitely made himself right at home, and he's sort of glad a lot of responsible people are still alive and aren't there to see the state of the graveyard, tbh ]

Oh, the message went through. That part's for Emma, so you don't have to worry about explaining anything. Did you get the rest of it?

[ I'm going to start another thread here bc I'm lazy, it's Wednesday morning. ]

[ he should potentially be more wary but he just blinks ]

[ Thanks for agreeing before you know what it is, Axel. Minato tries to tug on his arm but his hand just glitches through, but the sentiment is there. ]

Got a friend I want to bring over, but he's shy. You're good with people, so I thought you could convince him.

Never. It's a staple for a reason. Were you the one who sent the sprinkle bread?

Yes. I'm glad it got through—I wasn't sure.

It did. Can you send chocolate? I need to bribe Futaba for something, but I don't have any.

[ Minato... leans to the side? His back is still halfway through the portal, but at least Julius has like a foot or two of space to shuffle sideways out of it. ]

[ honestly Julius probably came through first because Val nyooms at light speed, then boggled at how he was the first one through.

which means he's currently just perched on top of one of the giant stuffed animals while holding another stuffed animal? ]

... Better, but I'll let the ones actually trying to pass through have the final say on that.

[ he likes high places. he's not getting down from here just to move minato, so as far as he's concerned minato can hang out down there, halfway in the portal? it's fine. ]

[ Oh, if that's the case, Minato goes ahead and sits up straight again, fully blocking the way. He's somebody else's problem now, not Julius'.

He chews and swallows his bread before speaking. ]

Do you think we can take one of those back through with us? Looks comfortable.

...You don't want to come all the way in here?

[But even she isn't mean enough to just leave it at that.]

I figured we wouldn't be allowed much time, so if I ran off, I'd have to run back.

[ Like this, he can just fall backwards into oblivion again. ]

[She can't help but laugh.]

Sort of is most of the time. Except for we had to relive the whole closet thing...
