As the sun rises on Monday morning, all participants will find themselves awakening with a sense of purpose. Regardless of where they slept the night before, they’ll find themselves compelled to return to the main meeting hall first thing in the morning.
Approaching the hall, however, they will find a large, swirling mass grey in color looming near the sakura tree. This swirl cannot be approached just yet, but seems to be locked and waiting for something more.
As the last member of the village enters the hall, they will find Lune and Sol at the head of the room. Though they’re together, it’s Sol who speaks up first this time.
"Morning. As usual, you guys were a big help in purging the darkness that lingered in the gateway from last week. We'll take it from here." There's a pause. "...we've got a new one for you, but there's something really weird about it. It's even larger than the last, so be careful when you're out there."
When Sol finishes, Lune picks up where they left off.
"Would it be odd to say that I believe you are all doing well? Your growth has been admirable.... Have heart as you continue to move forward."
The moment participants leave the hall, they will find that the gateway has changed from grey to white, the opening widening enough for multiple people to step through. The Signs will soon take their leave, and all will remain peaceful once more.
In addition, as the week goes on, everyone will find that somewhere on their person, a small word is printed displaying their most prominent trait. Though they may not agree, or even realize it, this is a trait that most strongly defines them and over the week this trait will slowly become amplified.

mini event: hatching new life.
On Tuesday, the sound of a dial tone echoes through the air, drawing attention to the gateway early on.
Though messages usually don't arrive until Wednesday, all Oracle Bells will chime with a new note.
On Tuesday, the portal glows a bright gold...but something strange seems to happen the moment all step through it. Finding themselves at the top of the mountain in the wasteland, another portal, a black, massive rip, glitches into existence and the sound of several voices can be heard from the inside. These voices may be familiar to all, as they come to the conclusion it's the sound of those who have passed on.
A pathway must be created for each figure, and an offering must be made. Should a living participant leave an offering in the rift for a deceased player, the portal will change to a different color allowing them to cross over. As they manifest inside the gateway, they will find themselves to be a digital copy of their original form, able to interact with the items in the gateway. All dead participants must abide by the following rules and will be aware of them as they manifest:
00. Dead players may only cross over when an offering is placed for them.*
01. They have an innate understanding that they are dead.
02. They have all of their memories up until the moment they have been summoned today!
03. They cannot, however, speak of plot information or information of who may have killed whom. Should they try, they will find themselves glitching and unable to continue the topic.
04. They will be able to leave the gateway later, but they will depart from this plane at noon on Wednesday.
05. They are intangible, for the most part. They can engage with items inside the gateway, but they will glitch through any of the living, or any items, buildings, etc inside the village itself.
*Please note upon player availability, some ghosts may be unable to appear.
As deceased participants manifest, the dark clouds at the top of the mountain will begin to clot together and cast a darkness over the mountain itself. The wasteland is silent, but ahead of them stands one lone tree, gray and ashen. Just beyond the tree, participants will find that the entire area is grayed out, abandoned cradles scattered among the ground and colorless, broken eggshells left behind. Giant plush toys and building blocks remnant of a nursery flank the area, also devoid of color and threatening to crumble. The only thing standing out against the monochromatic scenery is one distressed creature, fretting over the empty cradles and gathering the shells.
This creature will explain that the babies have been kidnapped, and the eggs have been scattered across the mountain. They stand no chance of survival and need to be brought back as soon as possible. Groups will have to venture off to seek the eggs, rescue the babies, and encounter the foes that are holding them hostage. These monsters can be aggressive, but the light from your heart will drive the darkness out of them as you fight them off. Power sleeps within you, and the elements will help guide you. Be brave and look everywhere you can.

As a note, this event is for living and dead players! That is to say, if you’d like to summon a dead character please leave an offering for them under the offerings header. Dead characters will remain on the living plane until IC noon on Wednesday.
Eggs and baby digimon can be found in all parts of the gateway. Some may be hidden in trees, while others are in caves. Some may be floating in the middle of the ocean while some may be hiding in the rubble of the city. You’re free to pick locations and thread your own adventures! You will also find that characters will encounter different Digimon in the regions. Oceanside will include Scorpiomon and Divermon, while the forest is overrun with RedVegiemon. Mekanorimon and Tankmon roam the city trying to stop anything in their way, and Vilemon lurk in the wasteland. Please feel free to NPC Digimon as you please; elemental powers will work against them, but it’s the light from embracing your prominent traits that will drive the monsters off. If you’d like to encounter a bigger, more dangerous creature please leave a comment here.
Lastly, in order to earn prizes from this mini-event, please report them here! In order to save a baby or an egg, please include a thread that a ) involves characters looking for and locating the target, taking out any enemies along the way and b ) has 15 comments from everyone involved in the thread! Threads can be a max of three people. Prizes will be given out on Friday.
And of note: starting Wednesday, thanks to character efforts, the village will begin to brighten with color and the babies will begin to hatch from their eggs. While Elecmon will take care of the village, it doesn’t hurt to stop by and play with them.]
